High military award to subjects of the British Commonwealth who served in the Second World War, specifically in North Africa between 10 June and 12 May 1943 inclusiveclet, the top of which is covered by the crown, surrounds the Cypher and is inscribed "THE 1939-1945 STAR" .The reverse of the medal is plain design. Medals was instituted on 8 July 1943. The obverse has a central design of the George VI Royal Cypher "GRI VI", surmounted by a crown. A circlet, the top of which is covered by the crown, surrounds the cypher and is inscribed "THE AFRICA STAR" Review: So pleased with this replica medal, the original of which was sadly lost. The quality is amazing for the price and will now be cherished in memory of our dear Dad. Review: ok

Getting my Grandads WW2 replacement medals mounted for a family project . Lady that mounts them professional for serving and ex military reported that they were incredibly week at the join between medal and ribbon. And the Africa star had literally snapped with very little pressure. Lesson learned buy original medals and not replicas .
