Amber & smoke is the best candle I have ever smelled.

I love this candle so much! It smells amazing and burns for hours! The scent is so calming to me I love it. My only complaint is the this top of the jar kinda hard to light.

I literally found this candle because I was listening to a podcast interview "it's the real" with Mac Miller (Rest In Peace) where he brought this candle in and lit it while they chatted just to have good vibes and comforting scent... 🤣 ... I love some comforting scents and extra love Mac Miller so I was like let me try and find that...once I got it I have to say the beautiful design of the glass bottle and stopper type lid made me super happy. Nothing broken or damaged at all. I love that I can keep and reuse the apothecary design bottle for magical things when the candle is done. The smell is really earthy and warm to me but not an overpowering perfumey fake type scent. I would place it on the more masculine side of the spectrum, but not like one of those awful deodorant or man soap scents. It has some softness to it that balances out the strong and gentle. More like what Dumbledore's library might smell like...old leather bound books and resinous incense with maybe some potion bubbling while he smokes his pipe. It's not the type to scent your whole house but will definitely add some vibes to the room. For me honestly it is another way to connect to Mac who gets myself and so many others through all kinds of times with his gift of music. Made in USA is nice too. I will likely buy again, it's a very chill and comforting scent. Thanks Mac, good lookin out, most dope. 👍 💛🕯️🥰☯️♾

Great mix of scents

This has a good scent, maybe a little too foo fooey (forgive my non-word use) but not nearly as bad as this brand's Tobacco and Patchouli scent, that one I don't like at all. This Amber and Smoke scent has a woodsy smell with the slightest hint of vanilla maybe? Hard to tell, and I am not a fan of a lot of vanilla. I own some pieces of bug-filled amber and I still can't tell you what amber is supposed to smell like. To me it doesn't even smell like the pitch it began as.The amber jars are pretty nice though, definitely keepers. I like amber lighting and I might try to make something out of these jars. I have read a review or two complaining that these won't won't stay lit but both of mine work fine. The wicks seem to be long enough to keep burning good but not so long that they throw off a lot of sooty smoke. I didn't have to trim either one. Spendy though, for the size. That is why only four stars.

My favorite candle ever! First of all, the throw of this candle is AMAZING. After less than 5 minutes of lighting it up, the scent covers my entire studio. Even though the scent is strong, it is not overpowering. It truly has a nice woody, earthy scent to it and I always get compliments whenever guests come over. The look (shape/color/material) of the candle is not only unique and beautiful, but functional --the mouth/opening of the candle is narrower than the base, which gives me a sense of assurance (and relieve my paranoia) of the candlelight catching fire to anything around it. The only "downside" to this is that I have to use a candle lighter to get past the narrow opening, but it's not a problem for me since I own one. Many people who come over and ask about the scent get thrown off by the "tobacco", and if you are one of these people, don't worry. I know what you're thinking, but it's not going to smell anything like a burning cigarette lol. Perfect for a gift --GET IT!

I bought this candle hoping for the best. Some of the reviews were mixed, but its overall rating persuaded me to give it a chance. The scent is pleasant enough. Here are the notes that Paddywax lists for this candle: Top Notes: Cinnamon, Nutmeg Middle Notes: Patchouli, Vetiver Base Notes: Tobacco, Sandalwood, Creamy Vanilla I get the spices and vanilla, but for me the tobacco, sandalwood, and patchouli are a distant second which is a shame - those were the notes I bought the candle for. The real problem is that on lighting it for the first time, it immediately began that tunnel effect - it burned straight down. I left it burning for several hours hoping it would melt completely from side to side but that did not happen. The candle measures 3" across - the wax only melted a deep circle 1" across. That's a lot of wasted wax for a candle that was rather expensive for the size! Additionally, the scent was hard to smell further than a few feet from the candle. Needless to say, I won't be buying Paddywax candles again.

After the one supplier stopped selling these candles in Brisbane, Australia I am now having to order directly from the U.S. But the quality of these candles is amazing and they last for a long time. The delivery was swift and excellently packaged!

Love the smell. Would’ve bought the bigger candle if it wasn’t so pricey. A favourite candle.
