Would like it wider but it does the job
I purchased this umbrella because I have been roasting in the sun while picking up my kids from school. I am outside in school grounds for an hour 5 days a week without shade. This umbrella helps make it less miserable. It is easy to use. It comes with a storage pouch but it was hard to fold the umbrella to fit into the pouch, so I just throw it into my hobo bag. I really love the leaf design underneath. All the stitching and sewing is done well with no open seams, overlapping of material or loose hanging thread. It is sturdy. I do recommend this parasol but do wish that it was wider.

Poor construction. Can't open...can't close. Are you kidding me?
Don't let the cuteness fool you! I saw this and it looked so cute. Got it and tried to open it right away. The struggle was real! I was at the end of my strength and I could NOT get it within 6 inches of locking it in the open position. Decided to tap out and tried to close it. Closing it was cumbersome and absolutely impossible. Yes it was collapsed, I could not get the metal parts in place (they bent over twice as designed but you could not get it in the cheesy clamp. And the sleeve that is available to slide the umbrella in was ridiculous. Glad I bought it on Amazon so I can get my money back.

Good for blocking sunlight
This umbrella blocks sunlight very well, and I really like the design and color. It's also very sturdy.

It works!
It does a great job blocking the sun. Does not change the temp as much as they say but I use it often. It is hard to open and close. I wish it were a bit smaller. I used it at the parade and hit a few people with it. Sorry...

Disney World at its coolest
This parasol is fantastic in 100 degree weather. I am a cancer survivor therefore if the sun hits my skin I just burn. Parasol is pretty as well as effective.

So heavy and hard to fold up!
Well, it did keep me dry when raining, and it did keep the sun off my face when it was sunny…but it was so HEAVY! I don’t know if that’s the nature of sun protection fabric but I would not buy this again.Also. It was a wrestling match to get it folded back up properly. I never actually got it back into its carrying case. Grrrrrr. On the upside it was pretty and did the job.

The design is absolutely bonkers
I've had a few sun parasols over the years, and this is by far the strangest one I've ever come across. There are *two* layers to the top of this and they are not sewn together. As one other reviewer mentioned, it closes very strangely- almost like it was accidentally made upside down, but not to any useful purpose. If anything, its mechanics being upside-down and inside out make it incredibly difficult to close, along with the strange two-layers of fabric used for the parasol itself. Inside, nothing short of the kind of plastic tags used to hold pricetags to clothes are used to hold the inner layer to the metal frame. Is this....is that even a real thing that's done? This makes me highly question the quality of the product if the best they can do is clothing tag plastic that is notorious for being easily snapable.Due to how thick this parasol becomes with TWO layers of fabric making up its canopy, it is absolutely impossible to fit inside of its comically small pouch. Its pouch, therefore, is utterly useless. Even attempting to try and shove the umbrella in its tiny pouch would break either the umbrella or the pouch. Why not just make a pouch that fits? Or for that matter, why is the lead to wrap around the umbrella to hold it closed *also* too short and made for an umbrella of much thinner material? Because the mechanics of this umbrella are so backwards, just trying to close it with the lead makes you feel like you're going to break it because the metal spine literally *wraps around the umbrella with the lead* as you try and fail to close it.In short, the design of this parasol is incredibly flawed and not recommended.I lived in Japan for years where inexpensive but no less high quality UV blocking parasols are abundant, and this is hands down the strangest and most inefficient one I've ever encountered and I'm strongly considering returning it. It gets half a star more than it deserves because I'm sure with two very thick layers it probably does at least block out UV. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
