Fun Addition to Workout
I'd like to clear the air on the stigma behind this weighted hoop. Is it a miracle contraption that is going to make you magically shed weight and inches by using it? No, not exactly. For sedentary people, putting effort behind achieving movement in your everyday life will help you lose weight regardless. It could be a simple as walking around the block once a day or lifting weights while you sit on the couch. With that being said, this is perfect for incorporating into your healthier lifestyle. Don't want to go outside? No problem! You can put it on and go to town in your living room while binging Netflix shows. For people who are already active and want to lose a couple pounds, it's going to take more effort. I've learned ways to make it work for me. I hate running, cardio isn't my favorite. So, for me, this is a great alternative. I put the hoop on the hardest setting (by shortening the length of the rope holding the weight), add weights (I use a kettlebell), and squat low. If you know proper workout techniques and strategies, this is a great addition to any workout, in my opinion. The best part is that it is super easy (once you get used to it) and fun to use! If the hula-hoop and Skip It had a baby, this would be it. Whether you are looking for an effortless workout or something different to add to your routine, this is it. Take control of your health and have fun doing it!

Missing essential piece! (At first)
I was so excited to use this after getting it overnight, only to open it up with it missing the drag rope and bearing for the weight?! How? There were lots of good reviews besides the people not agreeing with it being silent (which I was willing to overlook since I planned on using headphones anyways).Edit: I received a new one two days later and was excited to try it. It was easy to assemble, fun/ easy to use for the 2x15 mins (I just watched a show while doing it), but when it came to taking it off it was hard. I had a hard time taking it off without thinking it was going to break a link. My husband struggled a bit, but got it off and showed me how. I think repeatedly doing it on the SAME ONE might break it, but until then I'll just keep enjoying this easy little workout.

Good Core workout
This product is easy to put together. I takes a few tries to get the rhythm right, but once you do it is a great workout! It has just enough weight to get you sweating. It is well built, seems durable. It is surprisingly quiet, and the individual pieces make it easy to adjust to your best fit. I figured out that it needs to be just the right size to work properly, which is easy to do. Once the fit is right the weight moves smoothly through the hoop for a great workout. I am having a lot of fun working out with my hoop!

Not functional, and missing the joy
Someone's review said the ball bearings wouldn't get stuck if you were doing a full revolution correctly, and think of a jump rope. That is apples to oranges - jump ropes are cutting air, which gives little resistance. What you have on these is low grade plastic, linked, with wide gaps and a cheap ball bearing also made of plastic that catches on the inner track, fighting against itself to even move when I am holding the belt vs wearing it, and try to drag the ball bearing directly around with my hands. It catches repeatedly with me actively helping it. The items are cheaply made and they could solve this - with smaller gaps in the track and clever use of a rubber lining which would also cut down on noise. If it can't do that, how do you expect it is going go work on me? It didn't. I've done hula, love dance and have taken a bazillion dance classes, and have rhythm. I'm not perfect, but is annoying when the weight gets stuck and I'm still spinning.Separately, I had to put on workout gloves and fight with the belt to get it off me.Lastly, the joy of hula hooping that made us all think of this format was distinct- you like to groove, and feel pretty and arty and express through rhythm and likely music. The many forms in your head that drew you to the concept was a proper hula hoop. Which moves through air and resists nothing, and still carries weight without requiring weights to be added to it.This gadget is not functional for me but even if it were, it didn't feel like the full range of movement I was after.Do some internet searches on these sorts of contraptions vs true hula hoops and you'll see what I mean.I'm returning this in favor of real hoops, more of a workout, and more expression of movement!

Workout
I was a little skeptical about this when I first saw the advertisement. It dropped in price, actually lower than I even expected. I thought why not!! If it’s made for the landfill at least I didn’t spend my life savings on it. Right?!? It came in a “shoe box” in sections, no big deal. It was easy to assemble. The knots where you connect the links are very tough to undo. Which is great because at least it won’t pop off mid workout. But also a little touch to undo to get out of it 🙃. You can adjust your links so as your waistline gets smaller you can also make the circumference smaller. The weighted ball glides smoothly, however it is a bit noisy. But that is really not a big deal to me. It gives me something to focus on as the timer ticks down 🤣. The workout says 15 minutes with a 5 minute break in between. Easy, right? Holy Moly Guacamole!!!! It’s a legit workout. I can barely make it through the first 15 minutes. I’ve yet done the full 30 minutes w/5 minute break. I feel like I just spent a hour getting my booty kicked!! I’m working my way to get the full workout. Overall, its not a bad investment to keep in your workout room!!

Love it but…
My mother purchased this hoop through my Amazon account in July of 2022. In the last two months she’s lost 17 pounds and loves getting daily exercise in the comfort of her own home. It’s an exercise that she looks forward to. However, the little wheels attached to the weight to help move it around the hoop have started coming apart rendering the hoop useless. She’s extremely disappointed. For the money that she paid to get this weighted hula-hoop, two months worth of use is not acceptable. I wish that there was a place to buy replacement parts or something… or a warranty that covers defects for the first year.
