This is really useful and time saving. I have washed the school uniform for a few weeks now and ink is still fresh. Would recommend! You may need extras for each child or maybe just do surname to make it easier.

If you've big mars bar type fingers, this device is ideally not suited for me, I struggled big time with such TINY letters, it was hard enough to make out which letters were which? Luckily I asked my neighbour Bob - I said Bob can I have an E. He got me an E no questions asked, keep stchum Bob said. After taking the E I tried to make random words. But a big time tip - you have to put your words back to front otherwise they dunt make any sense. Took me ages to figure that one out bc owner of this device did not tell me in the instructions manual. I had lots of missing letters also, they give lots of spares as they are really easy to lose due to being very small, I have a 7 month old puppy that ate half of my alphabet. It's good but very very fiddly to put your letters in and line em up. IMO this could be a really good timed challenge for pip schofields game on TV - The Cube.

With 6 children its always been a pain to name every bit of uniform for my children, writing names takes forever, ironing labels was a pain so this year I decided to get a name stamp and my god its a god send, easy to put the letters in the stamp, was so easy I wanted to do more even though I had finished. Washed uniform for 5 weeks now and name us still clear (not faded in the wash) I will never use any other way now.

This does work and does what is says it will, but is VERY fiddly. Takes a long time to make up anything over a few letters. Results fine but there must be a better way to do this!

I bought this for my son who is joining up very shortly. I know that the Army are sticklers for having every bit if kit marked with your name and number and this will save him lots of time and effort when he gets his kit issued. I had one when I was in and it was so useful. Set up is a little fiddly but I've set it up with his name and number and the results are very clear. Not had a chance to test durability yet but first impressions are very good

I have brought sew in and stick in labels for school and nursing home. And this by far is the most cost effective time around yes its fiddly, but I have saved over £100 on labels in the past two years using this stamp.

Easy to use. Does what it says. I have used the stamp on my Toddlers Nursery items, from Wellington's, to clothes to her back pack. The only thing to note is that it doesn't of course work on any plastic items. Other than that, I have washed my toddlers clothes several times since using, and the stamp hasn't faded yet. I have found that it would have been useful to have slightly bigger writting, as when using on labels inside clothing etc, you do have to really be looking for a name to notice it. Therefore I suggest stamping items several times in different places. I have also had to supplement with the use of a Sharpie and tippex to write bigger, or on plastic items where the stamp doesn't work. Overall, although a brilliant versatile stamp. It doesn't do the trick quite well enough on it's own.

I wish I knew about this sooner. The setup was fiddly but nothing complicated. Love the eco-friendly aspect of this and less effort to prepare each school uniform with nametag on it. Leave the stamped clothes at least 24 hours before washing. The ink may smudge after but it is still readable.
