I am of a generation in which learning and remembering are closely tied to the motor skills involved in writing. I moved to an iPad some years ago for the overt purpose of once again being able to take hand-written notes and mark up the books I'm reading. I got a ~$80 Apple Pencil for this purpose. It worked GREAT. After years of faithful service, the Apple Pencil died. I wanted the latest generation version of the pencil, but it was not compatible with my 4th generation ipad. I resigne myself to not only buying a replacement Pencil, but a newer iPad as well.I stumbled on this product at Amazon and read the reviews. I was skeptical, but decided to hold off spending hundreds of dollars to solve my problem long enough to see how well a $12 solution work.I am THRILLED!!! It's every bit as good as the other 5 star reviews say. I've put it through its paces and find it to be responsive, accurate, and easy to use (great charging time and batter life). I even enjoy the ergonomics of the flat bevel on either side of the pen. Personally, I'd enjoy a bit more heft to the pencil, which would also reduce the impression that it is "cheaply made," but that's a very minor issue in the scheme of things. Congrats to the innovative, anonymous company for making a thing of truly excellent value.I am curious how it works -- it is powered but does not use Bluetooth (like the Apple Pencil), but am happy to use it in ignorance.

Bought this to replace a dead Apple pen 5 months ago, and it continues to be fully functioning. No need to buy the Apple brand over this one, as far as I can tell. Easy operation design includes power on/off click and hide-away USB-C charging port. Charges quickly and stays charged for more than an ample amount of time.Using it on an iPad Air 4 for general use and apps such as Procreate and find it to work just as well as the Apple brand.

Works just as well as an Apple Pencil. Charge last forever, easy to use, fits in the cases.

I had two Apple pencils, but managed to lose one of them (bye bye $99) so I came here to shop. I read ALL the reviews for this model and decided to give it a try. In fact I ordered three of them (on sale) for roughly $42.00 … that is insane and hard as it is to accept, these pencils work splendidly on my iPad Pro. Every bit as well as the expensive name brand. These will definitely be my choice of pencil from here on out. If your mind still isn’t made up after reading these reviews, just order one and see for yourself how great they function. Someone mentioned the annoying tap-tap-tapping they can make on your screen, but I bought some “nibs” here on Amazon for my Apple pencils and you can see in my photo that they fit my new pencils just fine … in fact I’m using one right now with no problem. 😌

It does everything the Apple Pencil does, but it has no magnetic attachment, which means you have to recharge it with a USB-C cable.If you’re like most people, you’ll use the same cable that charges your iPad Pro. So it’s _slightly_ inconvenient that you can’t charge the two at once, but it sure ain’t $100 inconvenient! :-)

I love this pen! My favorite is the Amazon dupes! Very precise on procreate, very light and easy to use.

This was a great alternative to buying an Apple Pencil. Works exactly the same for a fraction of the price.

This pen works very well and is a perfect replacement for an apple pen...and at a fraction of the price. It holds a solid charge for more than 10 hours and charges very quickly. It comes w/ replacement tips. There's really no reason to go back to an apple pen.
