how much weight can it support? will it hold up to a military type plate carrier with gear? approximately 35lbs?

Yes, BUT the torso is arced backwards. The base is a steel plate that gives it enough weight it won’t tip. The problem is the pole that connect the mannequin and the base it’s it doesn’t sit flush to the base so you’ll have wobble.

Can it be used for men’s s m l and xl shirts for display

The smalls are kinda tight, with a muscular look. The mediums are decent (I'm looking at the male version wearing a medium t-shirt now - leaves about five inches of room between the shirt bottom and the tabletop it's sitting on) but if you're doing an XL display with DRESSY button-up shirts then the shirt may wind up touching the surface you're sitting the dummy on, depending if the shirt tail is kind of long. Otherwise, it's find for display.

Can i adjust the arms to reach forward? I want to use this as a wall mount for display and put helmet and mask on it.

Arm’s can rotate as can wrists

It is light. 10-15 lbs I would guess, mostly in the base.

Surprised and pleased

Overall its better quality than the last mannequin i bought from another manufacturer. This one even has articulated shoulders which was an unexpected benefit. The articulation is not strong enough to hold the arms up in place, but getting him dressed does not always require full disassembly, which is nice. I am disappointed that the bracket which clamps to the supporting post is plastic. It seems it could have been made more durable. The finish is good.Its a good product for a good price. I recommend it.
