Beautiful Zebra Wood Scales
Scales are fairly well matched, though not exact as the product description would suggest. The wood seems dense, and should work well for my intent of making a kitchen pairing knife.

Great piece of wood and great quality
I bought these pieces of iron would not for knife making but for blanks to use in making bass guitar thumb rests. The wood itself is very nice and has obviously been kiln dried or some kind of other curing method. The green is very pretty in the wood is of good quality. Especially once the product is finished and you apply some kind of oil to the word such as old English or a tung oil Then the grain and beauty of the wood really pops. I would recommend this to anyone looking for knife making blanks or just a small piece of high-quality wood to do a specialty product.

Superb product! :with Edit
Wood was beautiful as described and a very pronounced grain! I was very impressed. :Edit: Extremely brittle wood wouldn't recommend for knife handles etc. Snapped right in half just dropping on floor!

Beautiful wood. Striking and durable.
This is the second time I have used this wood for knife scales. Excellent and striking results. I have since ordered another one for a special knife to a friend. I recommend and working it down by hand to 2,000 grit sandpaper is well worth the effort.

Warped after shaping the handle.... Edit: Did NOT Hold Up
So for the money, not a bad deal for what you get. But the reason I'm giving it 3 stars is bc these started out flat when they were a fresh blank. As I shaped them and got ready to epoxy them to the blade I noticed they had warped slightly. With a little more time on the belt grinder and some finagling, I could have sanded them back flat but it also would have thinned them out quite a bit so I just left them as it, warped, and epoxied the crap out of them. Should hold up but may not look the best. Oh well.... Edit: Did NOT Hold Up Forgot to upload this when it happened, but I only had the scales on for a few days and they ended up snapping under what I would call "normal" camp knife use. Ended up buying some micarta scales.

Great quality, beautiful handle scales.
I bought these scales to make a new handle for a machete I use for beating back blackberry bramble. They arrived on time and I was pleased to find a pair of perfectly bookmatched scales. They were exactly the size described and were cut straight and square. The wood grain was gorgeous and there were no cracks, voids, or knots. It was a joy to work with and the resulting handle is both sturdy and aesthetic (despite my lack of woodworking prowress).
