Love it, bought one for each family member. Might and easy to bring on our kayak trips.

The pole kinda sucked, very flimsy and the top guide eye popped out, so I replaced it with a smaller sturdier pole, but other than that, the whole reel setup and extra spool were fantastic, the case was also pretty good, and the small box of lures was good, I keep it in the car for those random after work fishing days

I bought this fishing rod for my son as his first set, and they’ve been perfect. Setup is quite easy, and the rod is simple to use for a beginner to intermediate fishermen. The carrying case is lightweight and durable, making transporting easy. The telescopic design is especially convenient, it stores compactly and fits easily in the car. A great choice for anyone just getting into fishing.

Bought two of these poles for my grandchildren for Christmas. The whole idea was that they were transportable and came with a very nice carrying case. We could use them whenever and wherever. Well they came to visit us at shore this past summer and they brought their poles and we put them together. I was very pleased with the assembly process and the quality of the reel. Well it turned out to be a very windy week and we never were able to go fishing over by the bay. Well now the problem…..we cannot take the poles apart no matter how hard we try and other family members have even tried. We tried so hard that we broke one of the eyes and still no luck. Both rods were impossible to break down. We tried every idea on the internet including Sougayilangs suggestion which was also on the internet. I suppose other people have had the same problem with their poles. Nothing but nothing will break these poles down. The worst part of this whole deal is the company that supposed to have such great customer service has never ever returned one of my emails and there have been several and a phone number is impossible to find. I might add that these poles have never even touched water they are new never used. If you are thinking about purchasing fishing poles I would think twice about buying Sougayilang. There is no customer service regardless of what they say. I am one very very disappointed customer.

The Sougayilang Fishing Rod & Reel Combo is a surprisingly good setup, especially for the price. The rod itself is really whippy, which makes it super easy to cast far without putting in a ton of effort. The baits it comes with are actually good quality—definitely not the cheap stuff you sometimes get with combo kits. The included line is solid too, so you can take this out of the bag and start fishing right away. My only real complaint is one of the clamps that locks the reel into place tends to get loose. It doesn’t affect casting or performance, but it does get a little annoying having to tighten it every now and then. Overall, it’s a great portable setup for both freshwater and saltwater fishing, especially if you want something reliable for travel.

Went beyond expectations for a telescopic rod and the price. Does great for me as much as I travel and love to fish.

I am waiting for my reel and rod ... am afraid now after last reviews read .. I will report when I get it.. praying for it will be good ..

Great travel rod

Brilliant bit of kit, very well made and lightweight. We hammered these today winter rock fishing in Anglesey, North Wales straight out of the box. Lovely to cast with and very compact, easily fit two rods in a small rucksack. I would recommend upgrading the line to something a bit more heavyweight on Anglesey as you get a 12lb braided line and no shock leader, having said that we only lost two of the supplied lures due to snags. The swivels and clips are sufficient for small targets maybe in clear water but upgrading to something slightly more heavyweight again would give you greater piece of mind when reeling through the weeds. To summarise, very well made, excellent value for money, compact and lightweight…just ditch the tackle box it comes with and invest in some decent lures. Tight lines everybody!
