I got this for heating hide glue in a water bath double boiler setup. It holds temperature within about 5 degrees of the dial. Accurate enough. It held quite steady at 65 degrees or so which is what I needed. I could crank it up to 75 degrees if I wanted to, even though that's a bit too hot. It did much better than one popular affordable competing model that does not get hot enough even though the dial claims it does.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this wax machine! I've started to do all of my own waxing. And this melting pot makes it so easy. It takes some getting use to. As far as adjusting it to your desired temp. But other than that it works great!

If you are looking for a perfect wax remover this is perfect, warming consistency. You get what you pay for.
