No more cricky neck from snoozing in the car, yay! :)
A travel pillow isn't something that I usually think about- until I'm in the middle of a long trip, wake up with a crick in my neck, and have to suffer a stiff neck for a day or two. Well, last month my sister bought a house that's 1000+ miles away. She's always lived within a few miles of me, but not anymore. So I decided to check them out seeing as how I'll probably be making a couple looooong trips in the near future. What I liked about this pillow is that it isn't one of those silly doughnut shaped ones. I also think that's one of the reasons I never got one before, they look so odd. Whenever I see the round kind, it always makes me think of a poor dog when it has to wear the cone of shame. This one is kind of a squarish "U" shape instead, and fastens around the back of the neck. The pillow itself is made of memory foam, so it did have a bit of that memory foam smell when I first opened it. I let it air out for a little while and it's ok now. It's very squishy and conforming, and is covered with a satin like fabric that is soft and feels good against the skin. There's a tiny little zipper (a nice rounded tab one, not the bitey kind) on the underside, so the satin cover is removable (and washable) in case it gets drooled all over. The seams are all tidy, there aren't any loose threads (loose threads on new items drive me nuts!), and the strap that fastens it is reasonably wide (about 1.25" or so) with some reinforcement in so it's not flimsy. It comes with a cute little mesh travel bag and has a small pocket in the back for earbuds or whatnot.Since it's not the standard doughnut pillow there are instructions on the packaging, but it's pretty easy to figure out. You basically just hold the pillow by the strap and bring it up to your neck, then strap it around the back of your head, and adjust the pillow under your chin as necessary. When it's on, it should be in a "U" shape under your chin, with the flat part towards your chest and the velcro strap should fasten on the right side. Normally I wouldn't clarify, however, my left-handed boyfriend tried to put it on backwards (fastening on the left). So, for you leftys out there- it fastens on the right, lol!I haven't used the pillow on a plane yet, but I have used it in the car several times. I looooove sleeping in the car. The motion is so relaxing. I used to just bunch up a hoodie, but the travel pillow is so much better! It's super comfy and I haven't had a cricky neck since I've been using it. We sometimes take several-hour long trips to early morning auctions in my bf's work van (with no reclining seats, ugh!) and it's wonderful. No bobbling around head, and I can kind of squish my head in so the sides are against my ears and muffle the banging and clanging that cargo vans tend to make. It's thick and cushy enough that I can lean against the window without banging my head on bumps. I also use the pillow on the sofa to watch TV when I am wearing glasses. Regular pillows will cause my glasses to move and make it difficult to see the TV. I turn this one sideways to support the side of my head, and position the cut out area where my glasses are. I know it isn't intended for that but it works quite well. The only thing that I would change is maybe using a grippier fabric on the underside- against some fabrics (such as ski-jacket or windbreaker material) the pillow will move a little bit. It shouldn't be a problem on a plane, but it happens a bit with the bumps and motion of the car. I don't think it's enough to deduct a star, since it's only certain fabrics and the pillow isn't really intended to be used while jostling around. It stays in place enough to keep my head supported, and I stay sleeping, so it's still doing what it needs to.If you're up in the air about getting a travel pillow (which you probably are if you're reading this), I would definitely give this one a try. It'll keep your neck from getting cricked, doesn't look a silly as the doughnut kind, and is way more comfy than a bunched up hoodie :)

I've had several travel pillows before but not one like this where you wear it on the front
I've had several travel pillows before but not one like this where you wear it on the front. I've got to tell you, it's different as many of the pillows I've used before were ones that you wore around the neck. Also, having owned several, many were just too bulky to carry, cheaply produced, and weren't retaining their shape. When I first opened this product, I immediately liked the texture of the cloth. It was also very soft and comfortable to the touch. I had a hard time trying to read the description on how to first put it on (blaming it on old age) and had to go to Amazon to see actual pictures on how to put it on. This is perfect for me as I tend to nod my head forward and this will keep it in place, also the side cushioning on both sides can keep your head from moving to the right or left. Did I say it's also very comfortable? This pillow is a dream to use.I also like that it comes with it's own carrying case and you can squeeze such a big pillow into it. Saves a lot of space if it's an issue for you and you can certainly just throw it in your carry-on when not needed. Once your ready to use it, you can just take it out and watch the memory foam do wonders. All in all, I will definitely put this pillow to good use. If you're in the market for a travel pillow, this is certainly different from the rest and I can almost guarantee a good's night rest for those long travel times. :)

Very Uncomfortable Pillow
I had the displeasure of trying out this pillow on a 3hr long flight. I must say it's very bulky even though it's memory foam. It was uncomfortable and I could feel head falling forward several times during my nap even though the pillow was supposed to keep my neck positioned. I woke up with neck pains and I had to re-nestle my chin in the pillow several times in an attempt to find some level of comfort which was quite annoying. I hate flying so I always try to sleep during...in my mind times passes by more quickly. I was very disappointed in this pillow because I saw all the rave on some reviews so really was hoping this would be the one. I saw where some reviewers stated that the strap in the back was not adjustable, that was not the case with my pillow. The strap was adjustable but after securing it to my neck, I felt very clustered and uncomfortable due to the bulk. I didn't find the pillow to offer neck support which is what I was looking for. I did like the little carrying pouch but I'd definitely prefer a more functional pillow instead. The pillow seemed well made, however, I can't speak much about durability since I'll be returning.
