Grasshopper Limited Driver Backrest for Yamaha 1100 V-star Classic or Silverado American Made STUDDED Complete System Quick Release

Installed and have had it for a couple of years on my 2003 yamaha v-star 1100, works great, and easy to slide in or out the backrest if you do/don't want it. Base mount point is easily hidden between the seats. Only thing is, I wish it was adjustable forwards or backwards. I feel like I have to lean a little to get good use of the backrest. I suppose bending the metal forwards slightly may fix that. (I also did have one of the chrome "buttons" just go missing off of it though within the first year. But I don't think its too noticeable.)

Item shipped fast. As described. I love this back rest and realize I should have ordered sooner - it makes a big difference! So nice to have the lumbar support, especially on longer rides.

Very easy to install. I had to get longer screws though. I should have gotten one of these a long time ago. Makes longer rides much more enjoyable since there’s almost no back fatigue.

I get that it was built for quick release, but it in no way locks in place. meaning.. every time i get off the bike i have to secure it somewhere or take it with me if i do not want it stolen. Honestly Ive never had a problem with other bikers, even at massive events nothing has ever been stolen. I may just jb weld it into the bracket, the website actually recommends using electrical tape if the bracket is loose.

I am just amazed on how I have rode without it.

It is alot thicker than I thought it would be,took a big 5-10 minutes to install the bracket onto the bike( had to take off my bag strapped to the luggage rack and reinstall it) plus washed and threw was under the passenger seat.. instructions says might be a tight fit,did not find that,feels great position is perfect on my back I highly recommend it.
