No more BBQ Tick!
Changed my oil 2017 Mustang GT with 5W 20 Semi Synthetic and when the engine got hot it sounded terrible. I thought something was wrong. After a deep dive on the internet found BBQ tick. Many other Mustang enthusiast were saying the same thing and touted LIQUI MOLY CERETAC. I changed to 5W 30 full synthetic and LIQUI MOLY CERETAC. My engine sounds super sweet again. There is no BBQ Tick. So "YES" I swear by this stuff. It's really expensive , I use about 2oz to every quart.

Tentatively 5 Stars
I used this on a w209 m272 mercedes engine. Car had a bad shudder at 5th or 6th speed, 2000-2500 rpm. Felt like a transmission problem, and it may still be; feels like a worn torque converter or clutch slipping or something. But in a hail mary attempt to further isolate the problem, I threw this in at the next oil change. No exaggeration, the problem is resolved 95% of the way immediately after the oil change.I now can only cause the shudder in a narrow band of rpms (6th gear, 2100 rpm) , its like playing an instrument looking for a tone, and its so much more milder.I confirmed this by going on a very hard drive, 50 mile circuit, bedding in the oil. High rpms, start, stop, revving in neutral to 5k rpms, and repeat. It kept improving. At this point not sure where the problem is, it might be the engine mounts or balance shaft, and this product is fixing the friction reducing the impact there.OR it is the torque converter still, but the smooth running engine is powering through it, making the clutch catch properly more often. Not sure. But 25 bucks is a small price to keep the car going a while longer. Will keep an eye on this over the next 3k miles, then will add their other product the sillicon friction reducer, Ill bed that in, Then perform a proper flush on the next oil change, and another round of ceratec. Then if the car is still, running ill just add this at every oil change. Cheaper than a new car.

High Mileage Use
I use this on my vehicles as preventative maintenance. I can't afford a new car at the moment so this has been my alternative. I have a 2006 Lexus GX470 (136k miles); a 2011 Mercedes E350 Bluetec (258k miles); a 2013 Lexus RX350 (168k miles). I do most of the maintenance and services. All the engines run smooth and I always change the oil at around 6000 miles with full synthetic.

We Will See
Used in a 2012 Sierra 6.2L with 156k miles. Only put on about 4k a year, but have book with maintenance and mileage. Will be looking at MPG in the future.

Works well on my Volvo.
This is an amazing oil additive product with noticeable improvements to my aging '06 Volvo S60 T5 engine. She runs quieter, smoother and you can feel the improved performance with acceleration. I am satisfied with this product and hope to use at least 2-3 bottles annually.
