I recommend this book to anyone starting a business, becoming a consultant or who needs a fee over haul. I've been running a nationally franchised chain for six years and have taught professional courses across the country. It is amazing how many business owners I meet who have no pricing structures or pricing plans. Consultant Fees is the most effective and efficient fee setting book I have seen on the market. It takes you step by step through the process while including real-life examples.

I've done some consulting, and fees definitely are always the biggest hurdle. This is especially the case when you have a good relationship/long-term relationship with a client. This is a must-have book on my shelf. Lost one star for formatting (i.e. blank pages, awkward page breaks, etc.) and some redundancy of ideas. The book is definitely worth the $40 price-tag nonetheless. As another English BA with an MBA, I've found this mix to be very successful personally and professionally. Some of my bosses are the same, and I think that is part of what gives this book its strength. I've found a lot of business writing to be especially weak when the person doesn't have a strong writing base. I think Andrea knows how to distill the complex ideas and make them simple.

Excellent for those who are starting their own consulting business. A good guide of to use your consultant fees as a marketing tool.

I was very happy with this common sense book on not only establishing a baseline for charging fees for my consulting business; but it allowed me to create an outline to show my clients they are indeed getting a heck of a deal for my professional services. Book means much more than the title suggests.

Too expensive for the lack of information given in this book. Don't waste your money!
