Reduced noise off intake significantly. I wish it was included in the provincial order from the manufacturer.

I picked up my truck used missing this lid so I am unsure if the intake came with one when it was new. It doesn't seal the filter housing but does umbrella the box from debri and protect the filters. Alot of money for a PC of plastic.

I bought the cover based on other comments from buyers who thought the intake was too loud. In my case, there wasn't much of a noise difference whether I had the cover on or off, but I didn't think the intake was loud with it off anyway. I think it's a good idea to have the cover on, just because it reduces the amount of dirt that can be sucked into the air box.I'm running the truck with the cover on for a few tanks of gas, then taking it off for a few tanks, to see if I can tell any mileage difference, but I think it'll be minimal in differences either way.I like the idea of being able to add the bit of additional protection to the air filters.

Item looks good and does offer some sound dampening but, let's face it - it's a piece of molded plastic! The kit should come with this item rather than making it an add on.I like it. It looks good. It may dampen the sound a smidge but, at this price, I am not sure I'd buy it again. Really, guys...it's a piece of plastic and 4 (one extra) stainless small hex-head screws.3 stars because of the price. 4 stars on look.

I picked this up to try and make my aFe setup more air-tight.When installing this I only put the rubber stripping on the side closest to the exterior. Don't put the strip on any other edges since the cover won't seat fully. Not really sure if it makes a difference in sound since my 2013 f150 vents the turbo blow-off differently than prior models.

My dad didn’t think he cared for hearing quite so much intake noise when he was towing and this did the job to quiet it just a bit. I am glad I got it as an open box item though as there really isn’t much to it and there is no way I’d pay the full msrp.

Looks Great

So crazy overpriced. This is a VERY cheap piece of plastic. Should be included in the actual intake system for free.
