Can construct on their own
My grandson is 5. Loves putting things together and invents his own shapes which he did with this. He was in his own world needing no help. Pieces are bright and big enough to handle.He has such as technic which his daddy gives him a band with, but this he can do entirely on his own. There are two or three different things to make, but he made his own. So it can be used creatively.

My 5 year old grandson loves this. He follows the instructions unassisted and is very proud of the outcome. He loves to explain how everything moves!! Successful gift.

Makes several models, can't really do much else. Nicely made and the gears work well, not all are driven in each model, but not as good as making something similar with Lego for instance.
