They do not appear to, they are excellent for cleaning up tiles, tables etc

What is the equivalent grit of these please? It would appear colours are different for different manufacturers?

They are not really comparable to sand paper, these will take the shine off of a previously painted surface, but they wouldn't remove any imperfections, you'd need sandpaper for that. If you're looking to provide a key before undercoat these will do the job.
