HexCladSalt and Pepper Mill Set with Adjustable Professional Grinders and No-Mess Caps

I wasn’t sure about spending this much on a set of salt and pepper mills, but now I realize they are really worth it. My husband also loves to cook and he thinks they are the best mills we’ve ever had. They are easy to use, have a magnetic cap on the bottom and are heavy and durable. Very happy with this purchase!

-First, wanted to replace my electronic grinders, because they take way too long to grind. This is one of those rare products, like citrus juicers, where the manual product is far superior to the electric.-Strongly considered MannKitchen, until a side by side review video convinced me that HexClad had easily equivalent performance and build quality, possibly a better grip, and at nearly half the price. I’m convinced that MannKitchen was able to justify the $200 price tag as the first to market on an innovative pepper grinder design, is currently capitalizing on that early brand recognition they’ve built to continue asking for that price, and will either need to reduce price or come out with another innovation due to HexClad entering the market with an easily equivalent product at a competitive price.-What I like about the HexClad product:—Output speed - exceeds expectations on why I wanted to purchase.—Build quality and attention to detail - from the quality of the metal parts, to how smooth it turns, to little details like the bearings that help smoothly snap the bottom section to the grinder. This is a very well thought out grinder.I have a tendency to try to buy the best of the best products up front, because I know I will easily get frustrated with the product and eventually buy the best anyway. I honestly can’t think of anything else I would want now or in the future in a pepper and salt grinder. I know there are cheaper grinders on the market, but this does seem like the type of product you buy once and just never consider buying again.

I wanted a burr grinder set of mills for use in the kitchen. I like fresh pepper in my dishes. These are great in all metrics. First, they hold a lot of product. Second, the burr grinders deliver a consistent grind no matter the setting. The coarseness and fineness of grind is very easy to set. And these mills produce a lot of ground product per twist, which is great when using at the stovetop. I've ground coarse, cracked pepper and very fine pepper for fried eggs and it always delivers. My wife finds them a bit heavy - and they are - but that is fine in the kitchen. You may want the shorter set for table top use. These are awesome mills and I'm considering buying the table-top set. The only "downside" is I'm using more pepper than usual because they do such a great job. But that's not really a downside.

I was hesitant because the price, but after reading a million reviews of plastic grinders, I went with these. These mills will last your entire life. Very hefty, and easy to fill/use. Magnet bottom catch is great. Again, extremely high quality.

If you’re looking at Hexclad’s pepper mill then most likely you are also considering Mannkitchen’s version. I have both and they are equally well built. Capacities are also about equal—if there is any actual difference it’s very minimal. That said, Hexclad’s design for the bottom cup is superior to Mannkitchen as it uses metal notches that pair with matching indents in the main body whereas the Mannkitchen uses an o-ring—usable and practical but their approach is of lower quality especially considering its higher price point.Go with Hexclad, you won’t regret it!
