If you are like me, then you may forget that the RP HQ camera comes with both a focus ring and an adapter. I initially made the mistake of assuming that these two pieces—together—was one piece, and so I couldn't focus the camera. Once I separated them and discarded the unneeded C-CS adapter, I was able to focus without issue. I have the lens screwed all the way into the RP HQ camera focus ring, and the RP HQ camera focus ring screwed all the way into the RP HQ camera module, and focus the lens using the lens itself. Unscrew the lens focus ring lock stop screw, focus, then tighten to lock the lens ring again.For headless operation, first boot up with a full desktop, focus and lock, then switch to headless.The lens itself is solid; glass and metal—not plastic. It's held up under some pretty brutal conditions with wide temperature swings.

I've got this sitting on a ZWO ASI120MM-S for use as an all sky camera and it definitely works for that application. I definitely have horizon-to-horizon coverage, unlike the 2.1mm lens that came with the ZWO camera.Entirely acceptable image quality; stars and passing aircraft are sharp enough for sky surveys.I would have given it 5 stars if the lens wasn't so reflective, unfortunately I can see a reflection of the dome on the lens and the lens on the dome as light bounces back and forth between the two ...

I attached this to an ASI120MC camera. The threads matched and the 1.5mm focal length significantly expanding my field of view for an all-sky camera setup. I was quite please with the lens.It IS a bit longer than the f2.1 that I was using so if you are doing an all-sky camera, make sure your dome is big enough to handle the slightly taller lens. Or plan on mounting it lower.

This lens has outperformed what I thought it would do. No big distortions on the edges that I see on inferior brands. This so far has exceeded my expectations on how good it is.Two images of my setup showing the clarity of the lens. Only minor thing in the way is the plastic dome causing minor reflections but that is to be expected.

Have a ZwO ASI290mm and 120mc, and the lens that came with those cameras were inadequate to obtain a true all-sky view. However, this lens is fantastic! HIGHLY recommended for an all-sky camera lens.
