Helped out older surfer.
The product lifts and hold your chest and shoulders higher off the board, thus saving your neck and lower back from having to work against gravity as much. It also puts your shoulders in a higher paddling position which makes the recovery part of the stroke easier and less fatiguing. I blow the air bladder up when paddling out to the take off zone. No problem ducking diving even when bladder filled with air. Then I deflate it once at the take off zone waiting for a wave. I like it deflated when stroking for a wave so I can push the nose of the board down for take offs. . I am an older surfer (68 this year) and am still able to paddle a 5'10" board because of this product.
