Faulty Product
The camera arrived not in working condition. This was a Christmas gift for someone interested in starting photography, and now it is too late to find another option. I understand this was refurbished/renewed however I expected it to atleast be able to take a picture, which it isn’t. I have contacted the vendor for a refund and I am waiting to hear back.

Decent for a 14 year old camera
The Nikon D3000 is decent for its age. If you are learning DSLR photography, like I am, you may like this. However, if you're a career photographer, you may want to go for something more recent (you don't need me to tell you this, since you're a pro) because most modern smartphones will do a better job than this camera. I also noticed it does not perform very well in low-light conditions, like night time or indoors. See the photos I attached for comparison and reference.
