I have this in a covered food trough and I see all animals at it. I live in hot/humid Georgia and this salt block will sweat. The critters love it! I will put corn or grain in the food trough and I'll make sure the salt sweat gets all over the corn/grain. This took some time for the deer to use, but now I'm buying another one. I have seen some large bucks that their mother visited this salt while pregnant and nursing. I just enjoy watching the deer doing their thing. I keep salt, food and water outside in what my husband calls my "Nature's Canteen". The possums and raccoons along with squirrels have really enjoyed this salt and the deer antlers I have on the trough. Great product and people get a laugh when I tell them that I put out Pink Himalayan Salt. Gourmet or Fancy salt for deer is kinda funny!

Good as as expected

Lots of deer near us, they love it and keeps them healthy. I put it on and between some stepping stones at the edge of our propety and it has lasted a good while, Good value.

Pretty sizable block of salt at a reasonable cost. I didn’t taste it but the whitetail deer I brought it for loved it.

Bought this for my backyard creatures. The squirrels and deer love it!

I’m sure this tastes great for the horses but I won’t buy again. About 1/4 of the brick crumbled in my bag in the way to the barn

Of all the salt blocks I've tried, the deer love this one the most. I found a plastic salt lick holder on Amazon that fits this size. It's probably meant for farm animals. One side is high, though, and is designed to nail onto a wall is something. Since I wanted to set mine on a log, I cut down the high side to make it even, made sure there were no sharp edges, then nailed the bottom to a piece of log. The deer eventually got used it and love it now. It keeps the block clean and elevated so it won't get buried in the snow. Over time the salt will decompose the log, but it lasts a while before you need to get a new one.

My daughter takes after me... and loves salt on her food. Good or bad, it is what it is. So, since there's never enough salt, usually, I got her this salt lick as a gift... to put next to her as she eats. She can take a bite and then run her tongue across the salt lick all she wants. :) For those of you who don't get humor... it's a joke.

We purchased this Himalayan Salt because it's the one recommended for deer. We have 2 pregnant does camped out on our acreage and we've been feeding them through the winter. We bought this salt for them and they seem to love it because it's shrinking in size. Thanks..
