This is a truly silent mini PC from Minix, a company I've found is producing high quality products in a number of categories. This device isn't the fastest - although the N150 is an improvement over the older chip found in many mini PCs - or the most powerful - the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage are pretty minimal - but it does make up for that with a unique trick up its sleeve: the whole device is a massive heatsink, enabling there to be no fan at all. That makes this great for people who need to truly eliminate fan noise, like a musician looking for a simple workstation in a recording studio or someone trying to add a digital signage PC in an area where noise matters. Because cooling is based on this being a heatsink, the device gets hot. Like, really hot. Not "you'll burn yourself when you touch it" hot, but... pretty close to it. You'll want to keep this out of the way of prying fingers, and VESA mounting it to the back of a monitor or similar is probably a good idea. Aesthetically, this is gorgeous; the metal case gives this a premium feeling that a lot of fragile plastic mini PCs don't have. Because the case is metal, it would block wireless, and so this comes with external antennas to solve that problem. Wi-Fi performance seems very good as a result, actually better than most other mini PCs I've tried (although I wish it had 6Ghz WiFi 6E). The presence of a 2.5G ethernet port is appreciated, as my home Internet connection is getting faster quickly and I actually do need greater than gigabit now. There's also a solid array of USB ports, two HDMI outputs, and a card reader slot which could be useful for swapping in new data in a commercial installation. All in all, while this is a little pricier than some other mini PCs, I think the tradeoff is very worth it. You get a much higher quality case, truly silent operation, and even what appears to be genuine Windows, which can be rare sometimes in this product category. Just make sure you're aware it can run a little hot and plan accordingly to keep it away from curious fingers while in operation.

This little PC is awesome! It's metal, not plastic like others, and it's completely SILENT because there's not fan... makes it perfect for a quiet area like a library or bedroom; being that it is metal it does get quite warm under load, since the whole case acts as a big heat sink to draw heat away from the CPU. This computer is very easy to set up, just plug & play, then go get a cup of coffee and read a book while it runs first time Windows Updates for like an hour (no joke). The CPU speed idles at 800MHz to save energy but peaks to around 3400MHz under load. Graphics quality is quite good, and it will easily drive a 4K monitor but I didn't try it with 2 of them connected. The 8GB RAM is less than I'd prefer but it's easily upgradable if you wish, along with the somewhat slower SSD which has a write speed that's too slow for my taste, I'll probably upgrade both RAM and SSD. The 2.5Gbps Ethernet connection works well and stays connected with speeds as expected. Overall, this compute functions well and does everything I need to (pretty much basic internet and Office functions), and it plays light casual games (don't expect to play AAA games). I would definitely order another one, probably with more RAM and storage out of the box.

This is an exceptional mini pc. I also have an N100. I would say it's great for the price, ESPECIALLY if you're looking for a fairly low profile and quiet mini pc. Most of the other options for quietness are raspberry pis, which are not as performant (although cheaper). This can run Ubuntu just fine, and I'm using it to handle some old vms that I don't want wasting space on my normal work laptop. It seems capable enough at emulation, especially up to PSX. I haven't tried PS2 on it, although I'm guessing that's about the limit. So yeah, this would probably make a nice little retro gaming unit / media center if that's a use-case you're interested in.

While I enjoy the raw power that a tricked-out tower gaming PC offers, I love the usability of the the mini PC form-factor. They're small, lightweight, and run cool, and the same can be said of the MINIX Z150-0dB Fanless Mini PC. This is one of the new ones I've tried without a fan that relies on passive cooling to keep things up and running. Without a fan, it works quietly in the background to get things done. The N150 chip does what I need it to do, and these tiny little boxes allow me to attach several to a KVM switch and use each for specialized tasks. The speedy SSD makes for fast file transfers, and the computer itself takes only a light touch on your wallet. 2 dual-band antennas, an HDMI cable and a VESA mount are included in the box so you canb get started quickly. This isn't the first of these small form-factor computers that I own and it won't be the last. The MINIX Z150-0dB Fanless Mini PC punches above its weight, and is a 5-star product that I would buy again. Highly recommended.

Gutes Gerät, gute Leistung, hochwertige Verarbeitung... ABER das Ding wird wirklich enorm heiß und das scheint auch irgendwann die Leistung zu beeinflussen.
