One That Actually Works .....
After trying another model, ordered this extender cable and it functions with my STB. Some minor issues with signal overlap from other devices but does what I needed it to.

Not compatible with my IR repeater box
I have a IR repeater box - and needed another receiver - bought this but it is simply incompatible with the device. The repeater box thinks there's a constant IR signal coming from the sensor. I might try re-wiring the device - but it doesn't work as is.
