Good scent, works well, lasting results
Product works well and fast, and I love the scent! It makes a huge difference in my porous hair. Once after using my friend asked if I dyed my hair! Nope just moisturized and healthy. I love the everyday use of the spray with the weekly mask option. It’s a great value for the money

Okay alternative to pricier brands
Compared to more expensive bonding products from brands like Olaplex or Matrix, this duo from NYM isn't bad at all. The shampoo works just like every other bonding shampoo - apply to wet hair, lather well, leave set for a few minutes, rinse well, follow up with bonding conditioner, etc., etc., The difference is the pre-treatment. With this one from NYM, you have to apply it to hair that's been thoroughly wet then a quick towel dry to remove excess water (meaning your hair is still wet but not dripping everywhere). For those who use a lot of leave-in and/or styling products, they recommend shampooing your hair first to get the build up off your hair. The pretreatment needs to be applied evenly throughout your hair which for those with thick long hair can mean using up a good third of the tube per treatment. Directions say to leave on your hair for at least ten minutes, but if you wish to leave on longer, just pile your hair on top of your head, pop on a shower cap, and go about other things around the house for awhile. I can't say that letting this sit for longer periods makes much of a difference, but I don't have thick, long hair anymore. Now it's fine and thin and it doesn't take all that long for treatments like this to penetrate through my hair. And it's not like this pretreatment is a deep conditioning treatment either, so ten minutes or ten hours may not give that much more of a benefit. Either way, the pretreatment rinses easily out of your hair. The follow-up with the bonding shampoo takes care of the rest. (This duo sold here is only the pretreatment and leave-in. For best results, NYM recommends using the coordinating bonding shampoo and conditioner as well.) NYM recommends using this pretreatment every three to four shampoos, more frequently if your hair is damaged. Whatever the frequency, this is something that will take a little planning on your part to work into your schedule since it's not a quick spritz and done kind of thing. The leave-in spray is faster and easier to use, and probably the product most people will stick with. It's a simple spray used on towel dried hair that helps protect hair from heat while bolstering strand strength. There is a bit of smoothing quality from this spray, but not as much as a straightforward leave-in smoothing product. You won't get as much frizz control or detangling with this bonding treatment, so if you have coarse hair or curly hair which needs a lot of slip, it's probably a good idea to combine this bonding spray with an additional smoothing product. The NYM leave-in treatment is more of a lotion consistency, so spraying it into my palm first and then applying to my hair was easiest application method. Spraying directly onto your hair can also end up with too much of this product, and that really makes hair feel gross, like a combo of oily strands mixed with too much dry shampoo and the only fix is to rewash your hair. The least amount you can use is the best bet. While it's not a heavy feeling leave-in, it will weigh down hair if too much is used. This is especially true if your hair is not only fine and/or thin, but not all that damaged. If your hair is in good shape - not fried or weakened from bleaching or too frequent coloring, overworked from too many heated styling tools, few if any split ends - this product may well be too much for what your hair needs. I noticed it works better the week or two right after coloring my hair rather than several weeks out. I don't really abuse my hair that much with heated tools or bleaching, so too frequent use of a product to help fortify my hair ends up causing it to be flat and blah. All I really need most of the time is a leave-in treatment that offers heat protection with a little slip.Anyhoo, this duo from NYM is a good way to dip a toe into the world of hair bonding repair products. It's a company whose products are generally great quality with solid results and offered at a great price. Better to spend $15 per bottle of product for the line from NYM versus $50+ for pricier (and more heavy duty) lines. I wouldn't recommend this for those who don't color their hair or routinely expose it to high heat. If your hair is in good health, these pre and post hair wash products won't really have much to offer you. Their bonding shampoo and conditioner might even be too much if used daily (check with your stylist if you aren't sure your hair would benefit). I can see buying this leave-in treatment again, but probably not the pretreatment.

Love it
I bleached the underneath of my hair so it's of course very damaged/dry. I tried the intense conditioner, and it worked great. It made my hair super soft. After about a week of shampooing and all, it gets back to looking damaged/dry (not as bad as before though), but it suggests using about 1x a week. The leave in spray is awesome. I need more of the spray, but I haven't found where it's sold separately without it costing. I'll be ordering more of this for sure!

The best!
I love the smell of these products and they work amazing!! The pre wash always makes my hair so soft and feels nice and the leave in conditioner is my favorite. I have repurchased now twice. I get pretty good tangles with my curly hair and this always helps get my hair back in good shape.
