History of Poland: A Captivating Guide to Polish History

I had hoped for a more detailed history of Poland instead of what I felt was a rattling off of selected points. The reading was somewhat dull. On the positive, I did learn a little bit of facts that I did not know (which is why I wanted to read up on the topic). I will try to find a more substantive history book on Poland.

There are SERIOUS omissions of salient facts concerning 20th century history that in the end denigrate the spirit of those who call themselves Polish. Remember that it was the thousand year old Polish ideal of personal liberty that made the first crack in the wall of communism!

I suspect this entire series of "Captivating History" books is written by artificial intelligence. No authors are ever given, and they read like they were written by a computer. The history may be captivating, but the writing is not. This series of books may give you correct information, but I recommend you avoid them and purchase books that have human authors attached to them. Check the background and qualifications of the authors before you purchase.

More like a textbook.

The book is OK. Not as big of a book as I thought it would be and almost zero pictures. Expected more.
