I've had the itchy bump reaction on my fingertips with every gel base and top coat since it began about 6 months ago. Almost just returned this stuff since I figured I'd react. But I didn't! I used a regular polish base first, then this gel base, hard gel formed, then top coat being very careful not to get it on my skin. Been 24 hours and no sign of allergy. Yay! I will update this review if one develops. Update: I've redone a few nails and used this gel base and top and one finger is starting to show the itchy spots and skin is a bit inflamed. Really hope it's not going to get worse. But this tells me the allergen is in this brand. 😞 2/20 update - did nails again. Used the canni base coat only, then nail extension stuff, then regular top coat polish, very small reaction. Last 2 pics are my 3rd update. I react but not nearly as bad as beetles. Just a few small itchy bumps that appeared 24-48 hours after doing my nails. Plan to wait a few days then use the gel top coat for the shine.

I bought this base and top coat to use with a Canni gel nail polish. I wiped my nails with nail polish remover, then I applied 91% rubbing alcohol as my dehydrator to my nails. I did one coat of base coat. I put my toes under the UV light for 60 seconds. Next I did two coats of gel nail polish, each coat followed by 60 seconds under the uv light. I applied the topcoat followed by 60 seconds under the UV light. This is my first attempted ever using gel nail polish. I was very nervous but it worked out OK. My second foot looks better than the first foot, but I was happy with the product I will update in a few weeks to let you know if my nail polish stay on. UPDATE: The polish lasted a month. I’m getting better each time I do my nails:)
