Why did you pick this product vs others?:I chose a Bissell machine because I have had one in the past and wanted a Bissell again. Also, the price was reasonable. I bought this machine in June of 2025. However, I did not unbox or use the shampooer until July 5, 2025. I had to make sure that it worked before my return window closed from Amazon.First I vacuumed well. Then I followed the instructions and cleaned two areas. One on the wall to wall carpet where I had some water stains from plant drippings. The 2nd area I cleaned was on a 5x7 rug in the bathroom -- 2 different types of carpets. Both areas/carpets came out clean. There is always a learning curve to know how long or how often to press the spray trigger. It does seem to spray quite a bit of water/solution. Make sure you do many dry passes to pull up the excess wet solution. As the directions clearly state, "make dry passes by pushing machine forward and back and across carpet until water can no longer be seen through the nozzle." This is important to make sure your carpet does not stay too wet. In other words, GET YOUR FINGER OFF THE SPRAY TRIGGER!Ease of use:The instructions are well written and picture displays may help a first time user. Pictures made assembly clear, but it is really simple to "snap" the pieces together.The machine comes with 2 different 8 oz. bottles of cleaner to try. = nice touch, Bissell.The machine is very light weight once it is out of the package. I am glad I had it delivered instead of picking it up at a department store. Easier for this older woman. One small issue is the On/Off button. It is encapsulated in a plastic housing. A bit confusing. I searched the instructions to see if I was supposed to pry off the plastic housing. Apparently not. Please take note, this machine DOES NOT come with upholstery attachmentsThis small machine does the trick for my small dwelling. If you have a large home, maybe consider a larger machine. This one is great for my 3 rooms and small enough to store in the closet -- right next to the vacuum cleaner.I hope this machine lasts for years to come. I will report back if it does not.

Nice and compact for small homes and lightweight. Works great! Not sure about a rinse ability but I filled it with water for my last couple of passes and that worked great. Great pricepoint and really cleaned my living room rug that gets filthy from toddler and two large hunting dogs. Emptied the canister full of DARK gray/brown water a few times and refilled the applicator canister a few times. My rug had some set oxi clean because my bissell spot cleaner broke—toddler put some rocks in it. Important to note that this DOES not have the upholstery gun. Happy with my purchase though!

So pleased with this! It does a great job of picking up pet hair that all the sweeping in the world won’t get, plus deep cleaning. It is also good enough at extracting water from the carpet that I can use it in the humid summer and still have rugs dry pretty quickly. So much more cost effective and easier than sending rugs out for cleaning. I will use this a lot more than I thought I would, it’s so easy and effective. I have the BISSELL little green for spot cleaning so I really questioned whether I needed this too, but I am so freaking glad I bought it. I bought the model that does surface cleaning too. Not sure I needed that since I have the little green, but figured it would be easier than getting two different machines out if needed. I wish I’d bought this earlier instead of the little green since it’s basically a twofer, but again, still so glad I got it. In theory I hate adding to an already large catalog of home tools/appliances, many of which I could borrow from a neighbor or the library. But in reality having it ready at hand is often the difference between using it or not using it. I expect that having this will make my life much easier (and cleaner) going forward, and consider it an excellent purchase, well worth the money. It may not be the most powerful out there, but it is so light and easy to use that I anticipate frequent use will make it as effective as a much fancier product.

Does a great job for my needs. I like that it's lightweight and it cleans really well...the extraction of the water that is put down is very good...it doesn't leave the carpet too wet. It also can be run over multiple times without water since there is a trigger for the water, not constant water output. That was a key feature I was looking for. I also like that it has the hose attachment. It's very easy to use and also works well. The only complaints I have are really related to the design and they are: 1. The clips that secure the extracted water tank seem to get stuck in position and it's very hard to unlock/release them sometimes. 2. The on/off button isn't in the most convenient location... it's low on the body of the handle in the back side under the bottom cord keeper hook. These aren't deal breakers and for what the cleaner does I would buy it again if I needed to.That said, I might not recommend if you were cleaning large areas often. Reason being you go thru the tank of clean water and waste water quickly.I have owned several carpet cleaners over the years though to deal with messes caused by my aging dogs having accidents. This one has been my favorite despite the limited capacity. If I was cleaning larger areas I would probably look for something different, but for my needs it's perfect. For reference I'm usually spot cleaning or cleaning my master bedroom or an area rug in my living and dining rooms. When doing my bedroom I will fill/empty a few times to do the whole room (and that's working around furniture). I like to go over a few times though until the extracted water is almost clear.Overall I'm very pleased with the purchase.
