It works well if your machine is made of metal. I only have a small part where the needle and plate is that is metal. It didn’t stay put when I used it. It didn’t work well with sequin material. The quality is good. How it works is another story.

I gave it a five because it is well-made. It is magnetic, it is nice and heavy , but it does not work correctly with my brother sewing machine. Will not lineup properly. I guess the magnet on my machine is located different.

This thing works just like it supposed to. The magnet is very strong. It doesn’t push off when I push against it gently and the little clip really helps keep the fabric aligned when you’re going through. I don’t even have to use pins. I can just line it up and then I adjust the fabric every a few inches or so as needed. I really love it. I don’t know how durable it is but it seems very solid to me. I don’t sew often enough to push it to its limits.
