Look no further
I've been scouring the Internet for ages after I had to rerurn my old one as it stopped working after 8 weeks as it was a cheap one. There are loads in the £10-£20 range but they are all the same (rubbish). All I wanted was one that looked good and was relatively accurate with little lag, and this one fits the bill and for a reasonable price (i couldn't justify £50 for a timemore black mirror scale). There is a manual and espresso mode but the espresso mode isn't useful as it starts timing from the moment the coffee hits the scales and it's generally accepted that a shot is timed from when you start the machine. However the manual setting does all I need; it's slim and small enough to fit on the drip tray under the portafilter with clearanceto spare. The displays are clear and it's rechargeable with a type c port. Stop looking and buy this one and you won't be dissapointed.

Really good compact coffee scales
Puzzled by some of the lower scoring reviews, I love these scales and felt compelled to give 5 stars considering how affordable it is compared to some other options. Not had any issues with it at all and I've only had to charge once in the last 6 weeks. Fits very nicely on my Sage Bambino espresso machine

Well priced - Ideal for my Flair 58
Discovered that this scale is the same as the Flair branded one for half the price....no brainer.I find the espresso mode doesn't work for me as I use a 15-20 sec pre-infusion with my Flair 58 - The trips trigger the timer but then it auto finishes before I've completed the shot!I use the regular timer function and it works great 😃

Massive upgrade from previous scales
My old scales broke which forced me to purchase some new scales, for being espresso coffee.I didn’t want to break the bank, nor did I want something I knew I’d have to replace again soon. These seem to hit the sweet spot as good coffee scales can range from £50-£200So far so good, only early impressions. Thing I love are:1.small in size - can fit cup and scales under my machine2. Seem accurate - well more accurate than my previous pair.3. Rechargeable via usb C4. Reasonably priced. These are the most expensive scales I’ve ever purchased and fingers crossed they last. I’ll write a long term review later.6 month updateThe device no longer TARES so you have to reset the scales each time you want to weigh a new item, really annoying when making coffee

Avoid its buggy
Bugging out and takes too long to tar, the device keeps picking up vibrations on the scale which can mess up measurements and bouncing between numbers even when using in pr2 mode. It’s not reliable or accurate

Good scales
Nice small accurate scales, maybe a few too many functions for my purposes. Espresso mode doesnt really work for blooming espresso profiles as they stop timing and weighing if there's no change in weight for a short period of time so I use the pourovers setting.

Poorly Designed Expensive Coffee Scales
The size is just right to fit under my Gaggia Classic machine. Build quality is fine but the slip on rubber-like cover - which you are strongly encouraged to use - is cheap. Mine turned up with the battery symbol flashing and then 'LO' - so attempted to charge it. There is no guidance on whether you keep the unit on or off, and no clue as to charge status. Next day, after a few minutes, the battery light flashes again so back to charging. Tried for a few days and then gave up. Touch buttons are too sensitive once you find them as they are concealed. Scales react quite quickly - which is nice. Timer function for expresso is useless as it starts when the liquid hits the scales - but that's a few seconds after the machine has started so no use when trying for consistent shots. Luckily you can revert to manual mode but the touch switches are just too annoying to use. These are not inexpensive scales and the battery problem makes them usable for me - so they were returned.

Ideal for Smaller Machines
I originally purchased the Timemore Black mirror scales when I bought my Sage Bambino Plus. Unfortunately, as good as they are, they were too big for the drip tray and wouldn’t zero. I needed something smaller.I bought these scales and they’re just right. Well made, solid feel to them. They offer a manual mode or an automatic mode. They fit perfectly onto the drip tray of the Sage Bambino Plus and so ideal for machines with smaller drip trays. Would definitely recommend.
