I bought this pressure hose to clear the kitchen and bathroom sinks. Occasionally they become clogged, so it’s good to have the tool to clear them instead of paying a plumber to clear it. It works great!

So I bought this kit to jet out a drain line that runs from our front yard to the curb. It was apparent that the drain line was clogged, likely from both roots and dirt. I approached the clogs from both the curb-side and the drain inlet side. In both cases, the jetter cleared out a great deal of dirt, which was wonderful! But when it came to the roots, it seemed to be less efficient. Granted, there was some root clearing, but not as much as I expected. I experimented using all the different types of nozzles, but none seemed to provide the proper design to blast out the roots.I should note that my pressure washer is rated at 3800 psi. Maybe (and probably) the jetter would do a better job using a higher output pressure washer.In summary, the jetter did a great job clearly out dirt, but only a so-so job clearing out roots. Some roots were cleared, but not 100% of them - I'd guess ~25%. Unfortunately I can't tell you how good the jetter would do if I had used a higher rated pressure washer.
