NeoStat-e Electric Floor Heating Thermostat Glacier White

Very simple unit to install and nice iOS app to integrate with rest of heating controls from heatmiser. Finally everything in one place

The neoStat v2 series is nice to look at and has plenty of functions. However it is not reading room temperature correctly even if its display shows 0.1 degrees increments. Temperature readings are usually higher by 1-2 degrees, and they become wrong again even after I recalibrated it. I know because I put 3 other thermometers next to it.Looking on the internet, it turns out that probably the issue is that there is not enough air circulation by the thermal probe, and the neostat model running with mains at 220V has a little transformer that will heat itself up giving warmer readings. I still have not found whether I can just adjust the target temperature for all areas by 1-2 degrees or if the thermostat will always tend to the temperature of the transformer! For the price I should not have the aggravation.

This was sold to me with the box open not new, only had a chance to installed now and found out that have a malfunction and is not working well

The Heatmiser NeoStat product is an excellent home automation system which has thermostats, timers and switches in its range. The hub is also compatible with Apple Home (though mine is older, so is not). Great App, easy to set up and has GeoFencing features if you wish to go that far.

It seems an okay thermostat but the packaging and description is misleading. To get it to work with your phone app or Google Home for example you need the Heatmiser 'hub'. Essentially what looks like a router from about 10 years ago. Why? It's 2023 people! I had another thermostat that just talked directly to the app via WiFi. This only works when you use their WiFi router.

The Heatmiser range seems like a good idea, however there are a few problems with the NeoStat-e in certain circumstances. The thermostat exhibits strange temperature readings if the back of the unit starts heating up. Also, compared to my old Honeywell thermostat it doesn't seem to maintain the temperature well. Despite setting 0.5 differential and setting my room to 21 degrees the neostat is not intelligent enough not to overshoot. Sometimes the thermostat overshoots by 2 degrees.

Really irritating as product is missing the temperature sensor.
