It’s organic color so it is free of ammonia and other chemicals. It also doesn’t have a strong smell like the colors with chemicals and ammonia has. It is not harsh at all for your hair

I purchased this because it shows PPD free.However when I looked the ingredients on the bottom of box - hair dye powder seems containing Diamine. I opened the box but I could not use this hair dye because I’m allergic to Diamine. Thank you

I've been using Indus Valley Natural Hair Color for 5 years around every 3 to 6 months. Not only does it cover my gray 100% but also makes my hair thicker and stronger! Plus it is super affordable. I refuse to go to a salon and pay them a large sum of my hard-earned money for hair color that damages my hair and scalp. Indus Valley is brilliant and absolute genius to offer up something natural at 1/4 of the price!My natural color is a dirty blonde and I like to switch it up seasonally by using their Dark Blonde, Medium Brown, and Light Brown. And I think I've used their Copper Blonde once. All colors gave me my desired look with no green, purple, or blue tint. In the natural sunlight, I do have a subtle shiny copper hue with each color that I love and get many compliments for. It's my opinion the reason is due to my own natural hair color, and I'm fine with that.Thank you, Amazon for presenting Indus Valley products!

I have been using this product since 2019. It has been great for me with PPD sensitivity. It smells like oranges and is very easy to use. I also brought this to my hairstylist to color my hair, and she loved the gentleness and effective coloring. She found no damage to my hair despite my frequent use of the color.However, after four years of enjoying the product without any allergic symptoms, the reaction returned after the purchase this summer. Not only did the design of the box change, but so did the ingredients. Now they do not have the line "No PPD" on the box. (I wish they could notify us of the BIG change)I have to stop using it in the middle of the treatment because of a burning sensation and itchiness, leaving a very uncomfortable feeling on my scalp with a significant amount of fallen hair. I would have avoided using it if I had known the change.Since I trusted the product, I purchased 4-6 boxes at a time, so I still have 4 unopened boxes, but they are all in the newly designed boxes which I cannot use. I wish I could get the previous version of this hair color.If you have NO PPD allergies, please enjoy the product with its ease of use without any harsh smell.

This is my 10th purchase of "Indus valley hair coloring kit" I only use it once or twice a year. If I were to go by other reviews I would never purchased it. PEOPLE PLEASE FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS! ONCE YOU APPLY THE COLOR TO YOUR HAIR PLACE A PLASTIC CAP OVER YOUR HAIR AND ADD HEAT. OR JUST LET YOUR BODY HEAT DO THE TRICK. I let the color remain in my hair for an hour or more, never had a problem, except intense Black hair that lasts for months. I even add castor oil, coconut oil & avocado oil, my results was still AMAZING no other hair color ever did that for my 4b/4c hair.***SO I ORDERED THE COLOR 11/25, I was sent dark brown instead of Black, I called Amazon's TOP RATED CUSTOMER CARE, She ordered a replacement, I received it yesterday & Same dark brown arrived. I'M VERY DISAPPOINTED with the warehouse operations team, I was offered a $5 Discount coupon to use for the next time I purchase the color. I will wait, it's obvious there's a mix up with the items.

I have very sensitive scalp and I use Surya Brasil black henna dye. Since the dye I usually get was going to take time being delivered I decided to try this henna since a friend of mine uses it and it works great for her. Well it did the opposite for me it did turn my hair black but I had a mid allergic reaction to it around my edges. So if you have a sensitive scalp this is not for you. I’m going back to Surya Brasil henna it’s the only henna dye that works and it does not cause me any allergic reaction.
