This was a nice less expensive alternative than your local parts house. This tool is well made and makes setting thread coils very easy, then remove unthreads right back out with ease. Easy to use and works as it should. Then simply remove it easily

I needed these to "re-thread" some holes on my wife's Kia's intake manifold. The toughest part of the installation was using the insertion tool included with this order. The tool allowed me to start the insertion, but as you turn it and get closer to getting the helicoil to the right depth, the fingers on the tools begin the bend inward, which then grasps the crossbar on the helicoil, when then makes removal of the tool nearly impossible. I had to remove the helicoils several times to straighten out the fingers on the tools to continue the job. Eventually I got all of them (4) done, but that tool is all but worthless. They need to make the tool's fingers more robust.

Never used or did something like this before. So seriously appreciated the little paper how to in the box. Parts seem solid. Got the job done for an exhaust bolt on my gy6 scooter in maybe 30 minutes.

Bought the M8 size rethread kit and it worked perfectly. Had to rethread 2 bolt holes in my cars thermostat housing which was a risky job but Got it done easily! The hardest part was trying to hammer out the little wire at the bottom of the coil, i gave up and just started bolting. Would buy again if necessary
