Mitt Rain universal power cord is a perfect fit for my Farberware electric 8 cup coffee perculator model FCP280. This fit is better than the original. It fits snugger and seems to go in deeper. At 1st I thought it didn't fit and I am so glad I tried again. I think I was so used to the original cord and the way it went in. This one seems to go in a little different. My adjustable bed power cord broke and I didn't know where to look for replacement parts since the company that made my bed is out of business, I took a shot in the dark and bought this power cord even though it had an extra hole, which I found out online is the ground. My electric percolator quit working, and I was going to order a new one. I thought I would purchase a new cord first (much cheaper than a new coffee pot). This item did the trick, so I didn't need to buy a new pot! This cord was much sturdier that the one that came with the pot.
