Tapo C510W 2K 3MP 1296P Outdoor Pan/Tilt Security Wi-Fi Camera, IP65 Weatherproof, Motion Detection, 360

I have been using it for more than a month now. Its a very good and perfect product. Since it's 360 degree rotation, it works exactly, the motion sensors and person detection is just awesome, clarity is amazing. Video quality is superb. I would definitely recommend this product. I took the cloud storage (additionalpurchase) but things are pretty smooth for me. Easy installation and easy to use app. 5 stars from my experience so far. I even traveled out of town and I was able to access and see the live video even when traveling.

Good camera, fitting it outdoors was easy, with the instructions given. It detects motion , camera quality is also good, no need for cloud support if using memory card. We were able to share the camera with our nearby's if required . Some good functionality is 360 deg rotation,also captures sound. Inserted a 128 gb which is holding good.

Dont go for this camera. Video recording is not good. In my camera Audio recording stopped working in just a few months, i could only hear static noise. When i contacted tp-link(tapo) support on email and phone they ask me to bring the camera to their service center which is not in my city, they have very few service centers across india (only one per state), they ask me to courier it to them at my cost. Better to go for less known brands where camnera has better quality video and price is cheap, my another camera came much cheaper and functioning much better than tapo.

My reviews are based on the continuous usage of this security camera thoroughly at my home for 7 months till now. Pros. DETECTION 1. Both motion and person detection. 2. Customizable detection zones. 3. Increase or decrease the sensitivity of motion detection. TRACKING 1. Both motion and person tracking. 2. Costumizable tracking zones. 3. 'On' or 'Off' the tracking mode. PATROLLING 1. 360° non-stop patrolling. 2. Costumizable patrolling zones. 3. Costumizable patrolling schedules. PAN/TILT Adjustable DEGREES the camera will move per tap of pan/tilt. ALARM 1. 'On' or 'Off' the ALARM mode. 2. Alarm for camera TAMPERING or OBSTRUCTION. 3. Adjustable sensitivity for alarm mode. NIGHT VISION 3 different mode; Infrared mode, full colour mode, smart mode (switch from infrared to full colour mode when detect any activity). VIDEO/DISPLAY 1. Customizable video quality; 2K, 1080P, 720P (data-saving) and 360P (smallest data rate). 2. Customizable PRIVACY zones. 3. Option for INVERTIBLE image. RECORDING 1. Customizable recording schedules; continuous recording, detection recording. 2. Sound recording. 3. Cloud (subscription) and SD card recording option. NOTIFICATION 1. For motion/person/tampering. 2. Customizable schedule for notifications. 3. Notification with snapshot (subscription). SPOTLIGHT facility. TWO-WAY audio facility. LED light. VOICE CALL mode. ALEXA & GOOGLE HOME connectivity. REEBOOT & AUTO REEBOOT facility. UPDATE & AUTO UPDATE facility. Cons. So far, there are no major drawbacks with this camera, just a few minor issues. After prolonged live streaming, the camera may occasionally stop streaming live, although it continues recording in the background. Once you reboot the camera, the live streaming resumes. Another minor issue I've encountered is with the camera's rotation. When there's movement directly beneath it, the camera sometimes fails to fully track and rotate to follow the object as needed. However, this is a small issue, and overall, the camera's features are excellent.

Camera is advanced and motion detection is awesome but sound quality is not upto the standards

Here are my thoughts on this beautiful product. I will provide both the pros and cons and my conclusion on price to value. Pros I noticed: 1: Decent build quality, easy wall or ceiling mounting, with an easy configurable stable app (compared to competition brands I have) 2: Built-in AI human, pet, and vehicle detection seems very reliable (95%) for me. In 6 months; only 2 false notifications for humans were triggered. 3: You get notified if a human, pet, or vehicle enters the surveillance area; each is individually configurable and sensitivity selectable. (On default itself it works like a charm for me) 4: In my installation scenario, 15 to 20ft human detection works great in the morning and 10 to 15ft at night respectively. 5: Manual pan tilt or scheduled patrol is possible to monitor the entire space it can cover. 6: Light and customizable audio alarm with recorded audio as an alarm to scare intruders. 7: IP66 (but recommended to avoid overexposure). Also, wired installation other than wifi is possible that can be connected to a compatible NVR. 8: The audio recording and talkback option is great and I can share even OTP clearly with delivery agents when not at home. 9: Can save preset locations that can rotate the camera to that specific location with a click. Also when the camera tracks movement it rotates (if tracking is enabled) and returns to the preset surveillance area when no activity is detected in the new area it moved to in 15 seconds or so. 10: Intelligent night mode can trigger a light on the camera and can record video in color too. 11: Masking the camera or covering the camera can trigger an alarm which can be configured with sensitivity. Cons I noticed: 1: Alarm sound is a bit low compared to competition brands (But not very little so it can't be considered a con but a comparison). 2: For the Alarm trigger; only one configurable time period is possible (ie; one-time period a day and NOT multiple periods a day for any day)(ie; if we set the alarm for night 10 to morning 6; we cannot set one more for morning 10 to 12 for the same day) 3: Offsite cloud storage, Rich image notification (notification with image proof) is only with a paid subscription (with no paid subscription; you will lose recording if the device is stolen). Some thoughts: A: I've seen some saying there is a lag or delay in viewing the video in the app; for me, it happened initially and then i upgraded my router to a fast mesh router which solved the issue which points to an issue with wifi connection and not with the device itself. B: I wish the camera had auto patrol when abnormal sound is detected and a Windows/macOS app to use it with the computer. C: Wish there was an option to save recordings to 3rd party FTP space or USB plugged into a compatible router. D: On motion triggered setup with approx 40 motion triggers on average a day my 256GB microSD holds recordings of 180 days/6 months approx before it rewrites old ones. Conclusion: Overall one of the stable and reliable standalone AI cameras for the price it is offered. I've bought Tapo C320WS which has 4MP sensor but when used outdoors (not supposed to be used outdoors but for comparison sake) the image quality is far better in the C520WS. So if you plan to keep a camera outside; go for this C520WS rather than any indoor cameras. I bought this for 5.3k during its launch and now it is available for less here on Amazon. I am adding some pictures of the product and screenshots of video samples from day and night; so that you can figure out the quality that would help you with decision-making.
