This is a large white piece of fabric surrounded by the black trim with eyelets for mounting.I had previously made a screen using drapery fabric, but it is hard to find fabric that will create a 150" screen. We wanted to increase the space available, so when I stumbled upon this option I said, you know what. why not.The white fabric is very thin it is not at all opaque and any contrasting items behind it will be visible. I had seen that in the reviews and knew that it would not be a "cinema" screen. Overall, I believe that it serves the purpose that it is sold for and the Price is fair for the item you receive.If you use this in conjunction with a solid uniform colored surface like a wall you probably will not notice any problem and the picture will be quite bright. Daylight coming through Windows or light sources behind the screen would probably be quite visible.
