Reasonable tools

Tool 1 is a lifting tong which greatly eases lifting the crucible from the furnace. The tongs are strong enough but definitely not overbuilt. I purchased the model for the #10 crucible. This tool allows for safe lifting where trying to lift crucibles with tongs is definitely hazardous. Dropping 20 pounds of crucible/molten brass would be a disaster.Tool 2 is a tong for pouring brass out of the crucible into molds. So far I have not used this as I have a much more robust tool I made. I think the design and build of the tool would be OK for small crucibles (smaller than #10) but iffy for the #10 or larger.

Works great . I am new to using a forge but these were a big help in my first run of melting copper. Getting the crucible out and pouring the would was really easy with these

So much easier to handle crucibles

I'll keep it short and sweet. I've been casting a couple years now and finally decided to get better tongs. Gotta say these make it easy and safer to handle crucibles. From pulling from the furnace to pouring. Added bonus was them including 2 crucibles. Haven't tried those yet, but 5 stars for the tongs.
