We needed a screen that was easy to install for a high roof on a cabin in the woods that had taken a tree during high winds. The install in this is simple: two screws. We were able to mount it in less than two minutes and it was quite ample for a 6 inch stove pipe. Absolutely would buy it again: simple, quality product delivered quickly.

The SOEKAVIA 6" Round Chimney Cap fit perfectly on our stove pipe and was very easy to install. I don't know why but I've not been able to find this style of chimney cap locally and have had to use what is readily available for several years. As a result, we've had a lot of "visitors" such as birds, wasps, and hornets find their way down the chimney pipe during the 3 to 4 months that we don't use the wood stove. It appears that the vent openings are large enough to not cause any air flow obstruction in allowing the smoke to easily escape the stack.The small rectangular vent openings on the SOEKAVIA 6" Round Chimney Cap certainly have so far kept the birds out, and I've yet to see any wasps or hornets in the firebox as before. I'm very happy with this product! The construction is perfect and I didn't encounter any burrs or snags during the installation. It snugly fit down over the chimney and I was able to easily fasten it securely with 3 self tapping sheet metal screws. There are two holes already pre-drilled into the cap when it arrives. I just prefer to use 3 screws since we are in a very windy area.I find the price point of the SOEKAVIA 6" Round Chimney Cap to be very fair and similar to other chimney caps I've priced and purchased in the past, that do not have the bird barrier on them. I would recommend this to anyone who has a wood stove, fireplace or other vent such as a gas water heater exhaust. This product also comes in a 4" option as well.Five Stars!

Box came damaged. The product was fortunately not. No screws to attach the cover to the chimney. But it was adequate to do the job.

Finally a stainless steel chimney cap that will last more than one heating season. Around here all I can find is cheap, thin black steel chimney caps for about the same price. And they rot out in a single season.This is all stainless steel so it should last at least a few seasons, if not more. I sure hope so.

I had to remove a couple of stars, since this is not a 4 inch cap but a 4 & 1/4 inch cap! It will not mate up directly to a 4 inch pipe! I ended up making up the difference with some 1/8 inch gasket material.Could not believe what they wanted for a four inch cap in my local hardware store! Think is a very nice well built cap! It’s just a tad too big.

I made one, it looks like a conquistador helmet kind of. It works, but I occasionally get birds in the woodstove.. I intend to move the pipe and eliminate an elbow, so I will be installing it then.
