Well built and easy to install.
Nice and sturdy. Super easy to install. Included insulation and vinyl trim strip work great to eliminate drafts where pet door and slider connect. I did have to use hot glue gun to keep vinyl strip in place. Overall, a very good pet door for sliding glass door (mine is a vinyl slider) and a very good price.

Easy installation
Changed my dogs life and mine! Why did you pick this product vs others?:didn’t wanna have to continue leaving the dog in the house when I went to work, but I also didn’t trust to let him run around without access to entry your exit even though he’s housebroken. That’s a lot to ask a small eight month old puppy.

Worth the price and easy to install
We purchased this to use with our vinyl sliding door and we have really loved it. This fits our door frame well height-wise and I was super happy about the draft stoppers that came with it--they work finominally and really cut down on the air draft. This is more drafty on windy days, even with the door flap having a magnet close, decent wind strength can override it and cause a lot of draft to blow in. This is not double-paned so it isn't very efficient with keeping cold out. We went and bought a thicker foam to press in around the frame to help decrease draft and air leakage. The door lock came with it, but we opted to not use it, we just cut a pvc pipe to fit in the track to lock it. I am super happy with the hard door cover, it locks into place and also helps keep air draft out.Overall super happy with it, with some modifications we made it work for us. It sure was a better option than cutting a hole in the wall and I love that I can remove it easily at anytime!!

Fantastic
Our cat loves to go back and forth to our screened in porch. But we don't AC or heat it. It is a slider door. We researched a lot of these. The biggest complaint was in fitting the door height with a channel in the bottom. There were a few on Amazon complaining about this one. But when we got it we found an adjustable cap at the top that is easy to use and works very well. The picture on the site made it look like it was not a clear window. Lo and behold it is a very nice clear window. So bottom line we couldn't be more pleased, particularly at this price.

This a decent pet patio door
It's well-made and sturdy. It was a little tall for my sliding glass door, but that was my fault in measurement. It was an easy fix, I cut a few inches off the top with a grinder and Bob's your uncle. Instead of integrating it into the glass door track, I put it in the screen door track. This way I can lock the glass door easily. This will be suitable for the summer, but I may have to rethink it for winter. It does take up part of the doorway, but we can all squeeze through. It didn't take long for our two 3-year-old cats to figure out how to go in and out. My wife and I are pleased with this cat doorway and I believe you will be as well. Just take the time to measure the height of your sliding glass door correctly.

Amazing concept, mediocre execution
As a Florida homeowner with 5 cats who like to come and go from the patio as they please, I’m thankful this exists at all. We were pretty much having to leave our slider door open 5+ inches all day every day, which is horrible for climate control. I decided on a whim to look for a solution and found this. I started with the 7x5” model but knew the moment I opened it that at least 2 of our <12 lb cats would never fit through the tiny opening and exchanged it for this. I decided to try my luck with a “Used, like new” model because it was available sooner. As advertised, it was in like-new condition. My one major complaint is that the flap through which the pet enters and exits is not user-friendly. Any other pet door I have ever owned used a spring-loaded flap that opened with minimal force, but this heavy, flexible vinyl flap can’t get out of its own way and requires the pet to mash their face into it quite forcefully, which my cats are not fans of doing. It’s also very strongly magnetized. I ended up removing the piece with the magnets to make it a little easier for them to push the flap. Once they do nudge the flap open, they stay low to the ground and slink through to avoid the weight and intrusiveness of the flap. Interestingly, the one sign that this had been used and returned was heavy smudges on the flap caused by contact with a pet’s nose or mouth. Apparently, the previous buyer’s pet struggled with it too and I’m guessing this is why it was returned. This is by far the most important feature, yet it seems to have been an afterthought. I would have gladly sacrificed a little air-tightness or paid a little more for something that functioned well.Depending on whether or not this works out, I will revise my rating accordingly.

Measure Carefully!
Like others have mentioned, the fit is kinda fussy. After inserting the top of the pet door in the top track, the bottom track was about 1/4 inch too high so the pet door did not fit. Rather that returning the pet door, I went back and read some of the previous reviews and then we did this:1. Remove the two screws in the top fit panel and it will slide right off.2. Loosen the tension knobs and set the door in place.3. Push the door up as high as it will go, then tighten the tension knobs.4. Let the door settle down onto the bottom inside track rail.5. Now you should have enough clearance at the top to slide the top panel back on.6. Loosen the tension knobs so that the springs extend as far as they can and then retighten. You can't put the end caps or the screws back in, but the tension from the springs will keep it in place and we had no visible gaps at all.It is a surprisingly well-made door. It looks great and my dogs and cats learned how to use it pretty quickly (a treat or 2 was involved). A quality American-made product and I do recommend it.
