Great little selection of tiny snacks
Really neat little assortment of treats including several kinds of fish and squid jerky. Also an umeboshi which was a nice surprise! Everything was great. I was really happy with the assortment for the price. No negatives. Will buy again.

A fun adventure
I loved trying snacks from the other side of the world. Some were ordinary and good, like little bits of rock candy or chocolates, but in bright and colorful little packages with cartoons. Think little stuff you might see at a gas station counter for a dime or quarter up to a dollar.Others were fun and new, like a little snack that had a picture of a boy flying a fish kite. I joked that it was a fish kite inside since I couldn’t read it. Well, it was indeed a tube shaped fish flavored puff. Ok. Not bad. And another puff snack that was like a giant Cheeto with apple cinnamon mixed in. That was definitely not something I’d go out of my way to keep around the house to snack on... but part of the adventure. Then there was the outright gross. Imagine fruit leather that’s kind of dried out and tougher than usual... and tastes like fish. There were a couple things like that... I wonder if some of it was thrown in because they don’t sell well in Japan. Haha.Overall a decent variety and well worth it to try something new and fun. Shipped pretty fast, too! I might opt for a larger box next time I’m feeling adventurous, but for what you get, considering it traveled around the world, this was a good deal and I’m glad I tried it.Note: One pack definitely had peanuts in it with some puff snacks. If you’ve got a kid with allergies, best to keep all this stuff away.

Bite Sized but Fun
I bought this as a Christmas present for a family member. The snacks included are very small and almost all are about bite sized. Despite that, trying out all the different kinds of snacks was fun and a great way to expand your taste palette.

Really TERRIBLE!
Oh my GOSH!! This was DREADFUL!! I usually get something global to share with my 8 year old grandson to teach him a little about the world. I "thought" we were buying sweet treats. No. Nope NOPE! Wafer thin dried fish (salmon?), teriyaki forward, wasabi on the finish. One that tasted like chocolate covered Cap'n Crunch. Followed by one that was too hot for him and he LOVES Takis! He has a higher tolerance for heat than any grown up I've ever known. So...sweet? WAY WAY too sweet sweet and a funky level of savor that defies description. All in all...epic FAIL for March! Oh! And one of the 20 pieces is a decal! Not a cute one, either!Hope April goes better...but it wont be from Japan.

50/50 Good and Bad
Most of the snacks were great, fun, and interesting but a lot of the candies were so disappointingly cheap. A miniature ritz cracker with nasty hard candy on it, for example. I wasn’t expecting gourmet but a ritz cracker? It must be the Japanese version of the candy nobody wants after Halloween and is left to rot at the bottom of the pumpkin pail.

Love my snack box, thank you akiba king.
I finally got my dagashi box and I'm so happy that it finally came but it showed up early before Christmas. Mines had arrived on 12/15, good condition, well packaged, not busted or bented and with all 20 pieces of the snacks. It's small pieces of candy and some savory snacks. Haven't tried all of them just a few but the one I hated the most was wasabinori it has a boc choy in front of it and it is so putrid. I hate the wasabi flavor, but, I loved the fried squid snack and a chocolate wafer I forgot the name of the snack but it has the cat in front of it. Another thing that I don't like is that they don't give you a sheet of paper to let you know what kind of snack, the name of the snacks, & no translation. Cause some of them are good & I would like to purchase them separately, but, I love it. It's so cute, has the 20 pieces that it promised, would be good as a present for someone who is a fan of Japanese snacks or just snacks in general. I love it and I will buy from akiba king.

Who needs a sticker?
Ours came in a red plastic grocery bag with no sticker. No worries because we didn't order it for a box or sticker. We received a 4 fish jerky strips (one is a bag of soft and puffy fish strips), an octopus jerky, a panda cookie, 2 Umaibo and a star shaped chocolate crunchy, gum, a ramen snack, rock candy like crystals, a cola candy gummy, the dried plum?, 2 filled marshmallows, and a few other small items which were all varied in taste and texture. I have ordered almost $500 of snack boxes from around the world for my family on Amazon in the past 2 years and this is in my top 10 for variety, freshness and value. I paid roughly $13 for 20 candy/food items. Go into this knowing your tastebuds will experience a range from sweet/creamy to salty/spicy/vinegary but it will be worth it!

Simple bite sized fun in a box!
Was leary of the complaints people had but said the heck with them. For the price I was willing to take a gamble and was glad I did. Recieved the box to tonight and had fun with the wife opening the candy, snacks and jerky strip things lol. Some of the candy was like Nerds, some were like Sixletts. The corn puff treats were delicious and similar to fruit loops. One pack of snacks was like Buggles. The jerky stick things were strange but fun. Kinda like a eating a bowl of yummy ramen but in jerky form. Yes it's all bite size stuff and that's its. It's not something to be over greedy about its something to have fun an try. Which me and my wife did and will do again! Took about two weeks to arrive which is normal with U.S Customs checks. Well packaged and great customer service. Only thing I could suggest is a cheat sheet that tells you what everything is.
