It does make you drowsy...that's why so many people use it for a sleep aid and it is the main ingredient in most OTC sleep aids.

active ingredient Diphenhydramine HCI 25mg/ antihistamine Inactive ingredients, carnauba wax, croscarmellose sodium, D & C red no. 27 aluminum lake, dibasic, calcium phosphate, hypromellose, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellous, polyethylene glycol, polysorbate 80, titanium dioxide that is what is on the back of the box for ingredients. I do know that they worked for my son. It stopped him sneezing every day. He couldn't stop it, sneezed at the least 10 times every time he sneezed
