Good Quality Gelatin - Solidifies Well, No Flavor Imparted to Recipes
The NutraBloom Unflavored Gelatin Powder is a good quality gelatin powder that blooms well and sets perfectly without imparting any weird flavors to your treats. The container only holds pure beef gelatin, so it's perfect for use in both sweet and savory applications. The gelatin comes with its own one-tablespoon (3 teaspoons) scoop, which makes it incredibly easy to spoon out quickly. It bloomed and was integrated in water well, though if you want it very smooth, you will want to use warm or hot water to ensure the powder dissolves entirely. The suggested use states to use 6-10 ounces of water per tablespoon, but I found it more enjoyable to eat it as gelatin - to make pleasantly soft milk gelatin, heat 3.5 cups of milk with 1/3 cup sugar (or more or less if you want it sweeter or not) on low. Bloom 1 tablespoon gelatin with 0.5 cup milk, then add to the sugared milk mix until completely dissolved. Flavor with extract of your choice (1 teaspoon of vanilla, almond, strawberry, etc extract), then strain and refrigerate. The gelatin solidifies well, and no flavor is imparted to the gelatin recipe. Overall, it's a good quality gelatin that I would buy again.

Nutricost is the best!
I've used a lot of Nutricost supplements and almost all of them have been fantastic. Their protein powders and BCAAs are all affordable and great quality for the price. This beef gelatin I got because I've been experimenting with making gelatin tennis ball sized treats for my dog. I got the recipe from a famous dog longevity cookbook and this gelatin powder has worked perfectly for those recipes. It's single ingredient beef gelatin without any additives or preservatives so I feel confident giving it to my dog.

Clumps & Gross! Soooo Gummy!
This does not dissolve at all in hot liquid. It clumps bad and is so gummy that it's a beast to get off anything that touches it. Tried blending with a whisk, food processor, immersion blender and finally a regular blender. Nothing helps. Ineligible for returns so you're stuck with it. Maybe you can make bricks with it. It's gross.

Well made bovine collagen - works as advertised
It does what it's supposed to, for various uses in the kitchen. It's rather healthy judging from the nutritional values. I use it in soups and stews mostly, and making sauces. It has made a pretty decent demi-glace thicken well. The price is a bit high for what it is, and what people will use it for. I am not sure it would be a big seller to most, not exactly sure what it is. The packing looks more like a workout supplement, which this is not. Well done, works well, you get a decent amount, but a bit pricey for other similar options. 4 stars

A must have for DIY Jell-o
It makes sense that gelatin is used as a supplement since it's very rich in collagen. I have no intention of drinking this stuff by itself though, but instead am using it to make homemade Jell-o.There is a scoop included in the canister. The scoop is 3 teaspoons, or one tablespoon. Mixing two scoops with about 4oz of hot juice until the gelatin is dissolved, then stirring in about 3 more cups of juice and and refrigerating it until set is an easy way to make an all natural treat that has no artificial flavors, colors or potential swine.Nutricost's gelatin powder does have a slight odor that's normal from bovine gelatin, but there are no flavors or additives. The smell dissipates quickly once you add juice to it. It also sets beautifully. I accidentally walked away from the first batch and forgot about it before I added the rest of the juice. The result was a very thick, almost jiggler style concoction. I microwaved it for a few seconds to turn it to liquid again, stirred in the juice and stuck it in the fridge. Two hours later, I've got a wonderful dessert that's superior to the stuff that comes out of the box.If you've got a Jell-o fan but are trying to avoid artificial sugar, BHT and bizarre additives, this is the way to go.

works great
This works great and has no unpleasant flavors or smells. It sets beautifully and is very easy to use. I made a dairy free (coconut milk-based) panna cotta with this for a party and it was very popular.
