Great option for travel! Worth the extra for carbon fiber.
I took this cane with me on my trip to Italy. (The carbon fiber version). Very light and compact! Fit handily in my carryon, and even into the back pocket of my pants when it became necessary. Sturdy -- flexes a little bit but only when my full (270lb+) is leaning on it. The handle is comfortable... almost as comfortable as my main wooden cane and lots more compact. The height is adjustable and fit well, although I might have liked a couple more holes to choose from. The grip is textured a bit so it doesn't get slippery when my hand sweats. And the carbon fiber construction made it easy to get through TSA and customs -- no metal tubes to explain.Having a cane with me made a huge difference in my trip, and since my main non-folding cane is way to inconvenient to take on the plane, this was the best option.

Rubberized grip not durable
This is a very light weight folding cane, which I have used daily for the last 4 years. The rubber tip on the cane is not particularly slip resistant or durable, but probably not any worse than competitors or most aftermarket replacement tips. For slip reistance I use the Fetterman cane tips, which are available as cushioned or slip resistant - but are heavier than standard cane tips and cost a lot. This Harvy cane handle is coated with a slip resistant rubber-like coating, which is nice, but fragile. It began scratching off almost immediately, and after 4 years use is about half missing, and gummy feeling on the remaining areas of coating. The folding mechanism is pretty good, but after 4 years seems to be a little sloppy, and the elastic band holding the sections together is a bit less secure than when new. Even when new, the elastic cord in the cane was weak enough to allow a slight slapping noise during use.All told, this has been a pretty reasonable cane, especially considering the light weight. That said, carbon fiber can weaken with age, scratches, etc. (as can aluminum canes), so I am going to use this as a spare/travel cane, and get another one for daily use - probably a non-folding harvy carbon, and without the rubberized handle.

Disney Proof
I have a bad hip (Need Replacement) but took the family to DisneyWorld for a week. This cane allowed me to walk 8 to 10 miles a day. (USED GPS TRACKING) it was awesome - folded up and fit in my camera bag when we jumped on the rides. Very light weight and easy to use. Very sturdy cane - I am 210 6ft tall and I had one higher notch to use if needed. This cane is more expensive than the others but worth the money.

Harvy ultra-light weight cane is worth it.
I'm sure a lot of cane users can relate to this: I never thought I'd own a cane. I don't use it all the time but I find it very useful when Meniere's Disease (Syndrome) symptoms kick in. This cane meets three requirements: it is strong (the carbon fiber really does the trick), portable, and works for someone 6'2" and over 200 lbs. A bit more expensive than some other types but I'm glad I have it - and I can tuck it into an airport carryon if I'm not using it. Nicely made. You won't be sorry you purchased it.

I love this cane
I am so glad I decided to buy this cane. I needed to be able to bring my cane with me while traveling solo. But because my wheelchair doesn't have a place to mount a cane-holder, I was looking for another option and this turned out perfect. It fits perfectly in the backpack I keep on the back of my chair (the folded cane measures about 6 inches wide x 12 inches tall). It's super light, but it feels as sturdy as any of the solid canes I have. There's a thick cord running down the length of the inside of the cane keeping the segments together. With the tension in that cord, when extending the cane, the pieces snap into place practically by themselves. It's easy to pull apart the pieces to fold the cane as well. There's a separate plastic piece that slides over the folded cane to keep it from extending by itself. That leads to my one gripe with this cane...When the cane is extended, I still have to keep that plastic piece with me for when I decide to fold the cane. It's not that big of a deal, as I can just keep that plastic piece in my pocket or my backpack. But still, I think something involving a cord hanging from the handle that could be wrapped around the folded segments would be more practical. In the end, I'd highly recommend this to anyone who needs a cane. And I found it especially helpful for someone in my situation...a wheelchair user who likes to park his chair and walk some distance when the terrain is impassable for the wheelchair.

Light and Adjustable... My favorite cane.
Quite light and quite sturdy. It can go in a backpack. You can adjust the length easily. I'd add some reflective tape to make you and it more visible at night. The one piece model is even lighter, but isn't adjustable. They both fall with a satisfying crack without doing any real damage; for those days when you just need a bit more attention or want to disrupt the opera.

Light with some flaws
This cane is less than half the weight of a folding aluminum cane so it’s easier on my shoulder. The handle is heavier than the rest of the cane and it seems top heavy. I would prefer a lighter material for the handle at this price. The soft-feeling coating on the handle is easy to mark up if you drop it or set it against something rough. It’s quiet if you tighten the friction ring but I wouldn’t over-tighten it because it’s thin plastic. The joints seem solid and slide together easily. The tip seems to grab the ground pretty well.

Cool Looking Cane!
Exactly as listed- “Ultra-Light Weight and Durable Carbon Fiber Folding Cane”. It also looks cool. Joints have stayed nice and tight, and did I mention that it looks cool? It looks so good I wanted to use it after I no longer needed it.
