Nice product, good lasting colour but darker than what I expected

Works really well, fast colouring! Left it on for the full 30 mins but I don't think it needed that long. Cool chocolate is what I ordered but it dyed my hair darker! In some light it looks almost black! *Great if you want Dark brown. Comfortable on the scalp unlike some dyes that make me itch or sting, this one was no problem. Fresh smelling hair. Feels and looks healthy! Will buy again but I might get a lighter shade knowing it goes dark! My hair was a faded reddish brown before with natural growth, mousey brown and grey roots, it has covered All of that brilliantly! My hair length is medium just past shoulder length hair and I bought two boxes, I used a bottle and a half, this goes quite far unlike some dyes. For the price I'm quite impressed! Just a little darker than expected. Hoping after a wash or two the colour will tone down a shade to what it shows on the box. Would recommend this brand. Very impressed as I usually use other common box dye brands, this didn't disappoint on quality. Definitely worth the bargain price!

Pros: Excellent coverage, especially greys; gives a deep rich colour; no strong smell and didnt irritate my sensitive scalp Cons: it's very dark, it's supposed to be a 4 but it's more of a 2, it's almost black which isn't what I wanted and doesn't match the colour on the box; you'll need 2 boxes for anything longer than a bob; the undertone is purple; dried my hair out My hair before was a cool light brown with no patchiness, it's now almost black with purple, I really dislike the colour and wouldn't recommend it if you're looking for an actual 4 brown - for a darker brown it's excellent, not patchy and covers well

I’m really happy with this dye, the colour is perfect. It’s not too dark (anything labelled ‘brown’ is so dark!) and is close to the natural mousy colour my hair used to be. It seems to cover my greys, although perhaps not always completely - although this could be down to my hasty application! Coverage of my dark roots is always good. My favourite part is the toner that comes with it which you use after 3-4 weeks to refresh the colour. It really helps!
