This is a great supplement to a language arts curriculum! We homeschool and use this for one child who has more difficulty with spelling and it’s easy to complete for him and has drastically improved his letter understanding in a number of weeks

Since these books provide a variety of skill sets, I find them useful for my resource classroom. They're perfect for guided and independent work, and my students adore using them.

I love this workbook for my homeschooled second grader! It gives weekly spelling lessons as well as grammar lessons. I break it down to a few pages a week & a spelling test on Friday. This book is exactly what I was looking for!

This layout is great price is good. I got it for my 2/3rd grader for Homeschool. But when I opened it up and the first page had him spelling "Came"...I knew it was for my first grader. My first grader is starting to read, but he can learn very easily with silent e. We've been practicing it already. So I flipped to the back of the book to see if it picked up, on skill level. But, it was teaching commas after dates on the calendar in lesson 12. So I love that it covers a wide range of topics including alphabetical order, spelling rules, calendar, etc. But if you have a regular to advanced 2nd grader, I would go up a to the 3rd grade.

I will be using this book as a base for my 2nd grade son's spelling curriculum. The lessons are "word family" and "rule" based. There are 12 units of 10 pages each and a test at the end. This means each unit will last 2 weeks and really reinforce the skills. The pages are colorful and there is a wide range of activities from copying the words, punctuation, word meanings, parts of speech, puzzles and more. I am pleased with this book for our spelling curriculum and will purchase more from this series and publisher.

My daughter has all the books in this series. She's just finishing second grade and she loves reading these books. She can't wait to find out what happens next. They are a great encouragement to read!!

I kind of hesitant to purchased the Evan Moor book at first but I did give it a shot, and my son love the book.from now on this is the workbook for my homeschool first grade son,I pulled him out from his school because of the teaching is like nothing at all.Some of the book is a bit pricey, and hope they have a sale, I do recommend this Evan Moor books.

Great word lists for our 2nd grade homeschooling. Good buy!
