I got these for my family to use for the eclipse and it was a great product. It came with a phone filter too but I had a hard time getting it to work. Overall worth the buy and perfect for what we needed.

I ordered 15 of these to cover all the kids from a club my daughter is in viewing the eclipse, after a last-minute request. She took 9 pair of known good ones of another brand we already owned to school in case these didn't show up in time, but these arrived in time so she got ten more while home for lunch.Of the 5 left here for the rest of the family to use, 4 pair were completely opaque. One pair had a single functioning lens/filter, and the other side was misaligned with a gap on the inside edge. When I warned my daughter to be careful, she said they already discovered several faulty ones so far also. But with the others on hand, they were OK.These PowX eclipse glasses were purchased directly from PowX. Amazon did manage to get them here overnight, but that is the single positive aspect of this experience. I seriously doubt these are certified. I weld and know how to use welding hood/darkening shield properly, so this is not a case of someone not knowing how dark they should be.

These glasses and the camera filter worked great! Yes, they seemed totally black until we looked through them directly at the sun and then we could comfortably view the progress of today’s solar eclipse.The kits were so inexpensive that I bought them and had them shipped to family members near and far because I wanted to make sure everyone had the chance to enjoy without risking their vision.I was impressed that Amazon was still stocked and delivering on time a week before the eclipse. I posted several links to people who wondered where they could still get glasses.

Glasses worked well and the camera filter was us the only reason I dropped it one star. Seemed like the camera filter did not work well with my phone.
