I’m very pleased with this teleprompter. I have been researching them for a while and this one works perfectly for my needs: simple, attaches directly to camera lens ( no black hood to fuss with) built in screen (no fooling with iPhone or iPad screens) and very good software. It’s solid and well made.

I use this strictly for content creation, and honestly it’s made my workflow way more efficient. Whether I’m using ChatGPT scripts or pre-written notes, being able to read along smoothly saves a ton of time. Even people with great memory can work faster with a setup like this. It also helps when I’m shooting promos with clients who struggle to get more than a line or two out, this instantly removes that friction. For my workflow, the big win is efficiency. I can load up different scripts and knock out multiple topics back-to-back instead of constantly resetting. The teleprompter features are spot-on, speed control, margins, fonts, all the little things that help you dial in your rhythm. The extended monitor mode is cool too, but for me it’s all about the teleprompter. Before buying it, I saw people mention that it didn’t play well with the Osmo Pocket 3 because it heats up under the mesh and can shut down. That’s true, unless you hack it. What worked for me was making a clean slit at the back of the mesh so I can slide in just the camera head while keeping the Pocket 3 body fully exposed for ventilation. No overheating, no shutoffs, no light leaks. I haven’t seen anyone else mention this fix, but it works perfectly and I’ll be uploading a video showing exactly how I did it. Only other thing I’d flag: depending on your macOS version, you may need to tweak a couple system settings to get both the teleprompter and the extended monitor working properly. Nothing major, just something worth noting if you’re setting it up for the first time. Overall, for creators who value speed, consistency, and being able to knock out clean takes quickly, this is absolutely worth it, especially with the Osmo Pocket 3 workaround.

Love it.. so easy to use. Game changer!

The versatility of this prompter is amazing - has great features and the software hasn’t given me any problems. The only thing I have had trouble with are glares from lights behind me reflecting off the front glass and showing up in the shot. It includes faceplates for a lot of different sized cameras but doesn’t include any that work well with dell webcams. Fantastic to use for remote work, and especially presentations. I’ve also shot promo videos and interviews with it using my DSLR and mics - works super well. Surprisingly light weight but solidly built. Has been part of my daily use station for more than a year. I’d love to see an even bigger screen on it.

I have struggled to keep on track with my videos narrative for a while, and after checking out some other reviews on the Elgato Prompter I decided it was time to take the plunge. Setup was easy, I am using it with a Sony ZV-E10 it unfortunately needs a different lens to clip the prompter directly to utilise the included accessories, but the shroud does a great job of keeping out external light. The quality is very good as you would expect from Elgato, and it works seamlessly, the unit connects via USB C to USB A on the PC end, this provides power to the unit. The Elgato prompter is good value when compared to units requiring a seperate display, initial impressions are good, but the software does take some getting used to, the Stream Deck integration is awesome and made it simpler to scroll through whilst filming, the AI narrative function I couldn’t get working consistently. Overall, very good initial impressions.

This is an amazing piece of tech. Was very easy to setup. Software is pretty good, but needs some improvement in the voice recognition area. I have tried a camera and webcam and all fit and work well with all the attachment options.

Pretty easy to figure out, works well. Doesn't have camera lens mounts for ALL lens sizes but you don't need to use them. I figured out my own way to make it work with a cheap USB pedal from amazon instead of buying the overpriced Elgato pedal.
