Easy to follow instructions. Thw manual is really big , which is nice if you tend to out things down and lose like i do. Definitely way cheaper and more sturdy than buying one premade

This item is great and works as expected. It comes with two books, one with instructions, and the other with a cut list. You can also easily find these instructions online. You can follow the cut list, or if you are experienced you can design the cabinet yourself. Mine came with a slightly non-functioning piece (a pin that holds the sides together was locked closed) and when I emailed the company they sent me a replacement part within the week. The customer service was great, and besides that hiccup, everything works as expected.

I’m no expert woodworker but I took this project head on. It was really fun. You have to be patient. This project took me a few weekends, but I was also working alone. The only thing I would’ve done differently was waited to install the plate the fat part of the piston snaps onto until the end. I ended up using a ratchet strap to compress the piston and get it to fit but I wouldn’t recommend anyone do that. It was dangerous and stressful lol. If I would’ve waited until the end to install the plate I could’ve made sure it was in the exact right position for the piston to fit on without compressing it. I would also recommend the seller upgrade to more of an adjustable style piston plate to allow the builder to make minor adjustments.

You do need to have woodworking tools and skill.The instructions were pretty good. On the cut list, the measurements did not match on one sheet, printing error. And another spot it said to use 1 1/4 screws to connect a 2x2 to a 3/4” ply……ya, use 2”😅. And you don’t need to band everything they say. But unless you have intimate knowledge of the parts, you’re just going to have to band everything. And one or two smaller print mistakes like if you want a twin support rod, it’s not 39” like in the book, if it sounds fishy read shared and make your decision.Customer service is very quick to respond.I asked them if I could take 2 singles and make a bunk and if they had plans for that. They said, no, do not make a bunk out of it. As you can see in the pictures, I did it anyway. I made a couple modifications.1- side boards are double tall so it’s one piece.2- reversed the legs on the top bunk for a roll bar….. not sure that was worth it 🤷‍♀️.I painted before I put together because it is way easier to paint before hardware and corners are created. I painted one side of each banded board. And I read ahead and found a few more un-banded boards that would need paint.This project did take me working for several days (I do get interrupted a lot).The instructions were easy to follow. The video was helpful, but super annoying not to have words. Maybe people complained about the audio before🤷‍♀️.Yes, I recommend this item.

Really fabulous kit and instructions! This was the first piece of furniture we have ever made, but we are DIYers so we have experience with lots of other home improvement work. The instructions for this kit are superb! The instruction book lays out all materials you need to purchase and outlines every single cut. I recommend buying high quality plywood from a wood supplier (not from a big box home improvement store) and take your time with the edging and be sure to stain or paint everything prior to putting together. We had a few questions and sent a couple of emails to the company and they promptly replied. Highly recommend this kit to anyone wanting to make a Murphy bed themselves. If we had bought a kit of this quality, we would have spent $5-6k easily. The materials including the price of the kit were only about $900.Highly recommend!

I chose this kit because of the video tutorials and good price.It is alot of work to build this thing. Going to home depot to pick up the lumber. They do cut plywood at HD, but they tell you that they don't do whole project cuts.. meaning they only want to do a few cuts, even though there is a price to charge per cut.The guy was cool and did all my cuts, but he first gave me some rules speech. I told him, I could just buy the boards he cut and then come back. That's when he just cut the rest as he wasn't busy.Best time to go to HD is around 10-11am if going on saturdays.. all the DIYers already came in early.Once all assembled, it worked out great. I did have a snap on a plastic joint that Ronnie immediately sent out replacement.

Hardware works great. Easy to open and close. Took a star away because the Murphy bed building instructions could be better. Several errors and I often found the instructions were for building a vertical bed although I got the one for horizontal beds. You definitely need to have carpentry skills to catch the mistakes before you get too far.

I haven't built the bed yet, just been too busy. The directions and cut sheets are outstanding! I'm a cabinet maker, so I knew I could build this reguardless.I really just needed the hardware. The instructions for this are extremely well written and easy to understand. They're even large print! You can read them from 5 ft away!I'll update after I get the bed built, but I don't think there will any change. Seems like a great product!
