I INSTALLED THIS INTO MY FIANCES LINCOLN MKZ, I FLUSH MOUNTED THIS INTO THE TRUNK AS IF IT CAME FROM THE FACTORY. IVE INSTALLED OTHER BACK UP CAMERAS BEFORE, AND THIS ONE WAS VERY SIMPLE. I HAVE ONLY 1 NEGATIVE FEED BACK FOR THIS CAMERA. THERE IS NO MARK OR INDICATION OF TOP DEAD CENTER FOR THIS CAMERA. SO I HAD TO JUST TEMPORARILY HOOK UP WIRES TO MONITOR AND CAMERA TO SEE WHERE TOP CENTER WAS AND USE A LIGHT PAINT MARKER TO MAKE A LINE TO SHOW ME ROUGHLY WHERE UP WAS. IF THIS ISNT DONE, YOU COULD INSTALL THIS AND THE VIEW WILL BE AT A TILT OR UPSIDE DOWN, THEN YOU WOULD HAVE TO GENTLY PRY THE CAMERA BACK OUT AND TEST TO PREPOSITION TO FIND TOP CENTER. SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT FOR THE MANUFACTURER. EASY FIX REALLY.UPDATE , ALMOST A YEAR LATER. THIS CAMERA IS STILL WORKING GREAT. I AM EXTREMELY SATISFIED WITH THIS CAMERA, IF I COULD GIVE IT MORE THEN 5 STARS I WOULD. I HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO ISSUES WITH IT. HEAVY RAIN, AUTOMATIC CAR WASHES, ITS WATER TIGHT, AND ALL LED LIGHTS ARE STILL WORKING. I'VE HAD PEOPLE COMMENT ON HOW CLEAN IT LOOKS AS FAR AS FACTORY LOOK. THEY COULDN'T BELIEVE THAT A 13$ CAMERA AND A $10 REAR VIEW MIRROR COULD GIVE YOU THE LUXURY OF A BACK UP SYSTEM FOR UNDER $30. I MEANT TO SAY IN THE FIRST REVIEW POST, IF YOU ARE GOING TO DRILL INTO YOUR CAR BODY, MEASURE, MEASURE, MEASURE. I COVERED THE ENTIRE AREA WITH MASKING TAPE, MEASURED HALF THE WIDTH OF THE TRUCK, THEN MEASURED HALF THE HEIGHT OF THE AREA ABOVE TAIL LIGHT. IT MAY SEEM THAT THE CAMERA IS OFF FROM THE "C" BUT, IT DEAD CENTER. USE A SHARPIE TO MAKE YOUR MARK, AND WITH THE PROVIDED WHOLE SAW, USE THE TIP TO DRILL CENTER AND YOU ARE ALL SET.

The field of view was the main reason I bought this camera. I put a marker at the green yellow intersection on the camera on both sides, I then placed a straight edge from marker to marker, measured the distance (95"), Divided 95" by 2 to get the opposite side, then measured the distance from the camera to the straight edge (44") (adjacent side). I then calculated the inverse tangent of 47.5"/44"=47.191°, multiplied that by 2 = 94.381° which is way less than the stated 170°angle. In order for the 95" target to target to work the adjacent side would have to be 4.156" not the 44" I have. Tan(85°)=47.5"/4.156". The camera has a good clear picture. It has visible white LED lights for night vision. They do not affect the quality of the picture at night with reflections.

En mi opinión es una buena inversión, es económica y tiene muy buen funcionamiento en mi vehículo, se mira perfectamente en la noche y ayuda mucho con el parqueo del vehículo.

This is NOT a 170 degree wide angle. At most it has a 90 degree field of view. Far too narrow for a backup camera. I compared it to another 170 degree wide angle camera I have and this item has only about half the view angle of my other camera. The description is FALSE.

This was easy to install and get working once you understand what you're doing. But because it's round, lining it up straight is kind of a chore. You have to constantly twist it until it's centered. Meaning you have to keep going inside the car checking the video and then move it a little bit. go in the car check the video and keep repeating it until it's straight. The camera is not high-def so it's going to be kind of graney. But it's better than nothing and you can still see.

Has clear image , works perfect , great price , easy install . Watched YouTube to help with the install . It is over all very good product
